Huck Likes Big Slick

Huckleberry Seed
Huckleberry Seed
An under the gun player moved all-in for 3,200 and Huck Seed made the call. Huck turned over A-K while his opponent turned over A-9. Neither player paired a card and Huck's A-K held up. After the hand, Huck is up to 42,500.

Advance or Go Home?

The 900 or so remaining players have made it to the half-way mark of Day 1a. They outlasted almost three hundred players but have three more levels and six hours of play before the day is complete. At dinner break, most of the players had time to think about their game plan. The big stacks will be trying to add more ammo for their run towards glory. The short stacks are hoping to catch cards and double up in order to survive the new levels that now feature antes. And the ones who caught a wave of luck during the first part of the day are hoping they can continue their good fortune. Meanwhile, a few unfortunate souls are praying for that miracle hand which will get them back into contention. Every time a dealer screams "Seat open!" another player cringes knowing that his or her fate can be sealed on the very next hand.

After two players limped, Thomas Wahlroos raised to 3,000 from late position and got one caller. The flop came down {8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Wahlroos moved all in and was quickly called. The players showed . . .

Wahlroos: Q-Q
Opponent: 9-9

Wahlroos got no help on the turn or river and was eliminated.

The Antics of Brad Garrett

Brad Garrett is picking on the dealer because the dealer wants Garrett to put a chip on his cards to protect them, and Garrett doesn't want to. Then, a woman sits down across from him covered in Full Tilt logos. "Maybe you've heard of my website," Garrett says. "Ihopethatsnotmysphincter.com."

From Penthouse To Outhouse

For the briefest of moments Nestor Martinez was the chip leader at the World Series of Poker. And now he's out. In a crazy ol' hand, four players ended up all-in before the flop. They held {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}, {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}, {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}, and {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and when his {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} held up Timten Olivier took out the other three players. Olivier now sits near the chip lead with 99,000. And Nestor Martinez's day is at an end.

Board: {5-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Spades}{K-Hearts}

On the flop, it's checked to Minh Ly who bets and is called. On the turn, it's checked again to Ly, who bets 3,500. The opponent folds, and Ly, who had been short-stacked, is now nearly back to even with 17,100.
