Michael Mizrachi Takes A Hit

Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi
Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi
After two players limped into the pot, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi raised to 1,200. One of the limpers called and they saw a {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop. The other player checked, Mizrachi bet 3,000, and his opponent called. The turn was the {A-Hearts}; this time his opponent check-called a 6,500 bet from Mizrachi. But when the {10-Clubs} hit on the river, the other player threw out a 10,000 bet and that was enough to get Mizrachi to fold. He's now down to 32,000.

Table Talk

Mark Vos
Mark Vos
Mark Vos walked over to Dan Harmetz's table and playfully knocked over a portion of his chip stack.

In response, Harmetz said, "Mark, I'm gonna come over there and do the same thing to you, but it's gonna take you all day to pick them up" -- referring to the massive stack Vos has acquired.

Liz Lieu Gets the Worst Of It

Liz Lieu
Liz Lieu
On a flop of {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}, Liz Lieu bet out 5,000. Her opponent raised all in for 4,300 more and Lieu made the call. The players turned up . . .

Lieu: {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{5-Spades}

The turn was a blank coming the {9-Clubs}, but the river {A-Clubs} was disaster for Lieu as her opponent made a pair of aces. She is now down to about 8,000.

Does This Guy Ever Quit?

Brad Garrett
Brad Garrett
Actor Brad Garrett is playing the role of table comedian. In a hand or not, chip leader or short-stacked, Garrett is always "on." He is constantly poking fun at his tablemates and/or himself and just trying to have a good time. It almost seems lost on him that he's playing for the richest prize in sports. His tablemates, for the most part, seem to be taking it in stride.
