Davis Hits Expensive Turn

Raymond Davis
Raymond Davis
On a flop of {Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} Raymond Davis called a 6,000 bet. The turn brought the {8-Diamonds} and both Davis and his opponent checked. The river was the {6-Spades} and Davis made it 15,000 to go, but was raised by his opponent to 50,000. Davis called immediately and his opponent showed {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for a full house. Before throwing his cards in the muck, Davis flashed us his hand of 10-8.

The Most Animated We've Seen Tom McEvoy... Ever

And it ended up as a split pot!

Tom McEvoy bet out on a flop of {K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Spades}, Mark Weiner moved all-in and McEvoy grabbed his remaining chips and slammed the stack into the pot as he turned over {A-Spades}{K-Spades}. Weiner turned over {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}. No spade on the turn or the river for the freerolling McEvoy and they split the pot.

"Man, I never like it when YOU call!" laughed Weiner as they re-stacked their chips.

Kenny Rundh Shows A Bluff

Rundh called a 6,000 raise before the {2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop and check-called another 6,000 bet. The {A-Clubs} on the turn induced a check from both players and when the {3-Clubs} hit on the river Rundh bet 17,600. The other player folded and tabled {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}, and that's when Rundh turned over his {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

Amanda Baker Busts a Player

Amanda Baker
Amanda Baker
On the board of {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} with 50,000 in the pot, one player moved all in for 35,000. Amanda Baker quickly called.

Opponent: {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Baker: {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Baker was ahead with top pair and a flush draw. Her opponent had nothing except an open-ended straight draw. The river was the {J-Diamonds} and Baker busted her opponent. She increased her stack to 237,000.

Ahhhh!!! Ahhhhh!!! OH MY GOD!!!

These are the cries that just erupted from Table 65.

David Katalan held {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and was up against Jim Routos' A-K. The "Aaaaahhhhs!" were cried out when the flop came down {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. It was the {K-Clubs} on the turn, making Routos trips that elicited both players to simultaneously scream, "OH MY GOD!" The river was the {8-Hearts}, missing Katalan's flush draw and Routos dragged the pot.

After the hand Routos was up to 213,000 while Katalan was down to 92,000.

It's Better Than What?

Jon Moondes just won two monster pots in a row to take his stack up to 350,000. He won his first pot with pocket Queens against a player trying to run a stone-cold bluff, and he scooped so many chips that it took him nearly an entire orbit to stack them...which is when he won his second monster pot.

"Stacking your chips, baby! It's the most fun you can have, it's better than sex!" he said.

Rivered!

Robert McAdam took his 9-9 up against the A-7 of Joe Shield. The flop was Q-Q-6, the turn was a 3, but the river was an ace, causing McAdam to jump out of his chair in disbelief. It was the second pot in a row that his pocket pair was sucked out on.

Sheild doubled up to 28,000 on the hand.
