Rene Angelil Eliminated

After a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, Rene Angelil bets 5,000 from the small blind, the big blind min-raises to 10,000, Angelil moves all in, and the big blind quickly calls with Q-10 for a pair of queens. Angelil shows {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a pair of fours, and he'll need to improve to stay alive.

The last two cards are {5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, and Rene Angelil is eliminated from the Main Event.

Richard Weisman Up to 485K

On a board reading {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{J-Spades}{6-Hearts}, Richard Weisman bet 30,000 on the river and his opponent thought for an eternity.

"Did you make three sixes again?" he wondered aloud, before finally calling.

Weisman's hand was better than that-- he turned over 3-3 for a full house and his opponent mucked. Weisman was up to 485,000 after the hand.

Chris Bell Moves to a Tough Table

Chris Bell was just moved to Table 51, seat 6, joining Amnon who is already in seat 9. Bell has an above-average stack with 105,000, and Amnon is even better than that with 152,000.

But that's nothing at this table. The short stack in seat 1 has 70,000, and there are four players above 200,000, with one over 300,000. There was one other short stack with about 30,000, but he was eliminated on the first hand after Bell sat down.

Chris Bell is probably already missing his old table.

Carlos Mortensen's Queens Get Outflopped

Carlos Mortensen raises to 5,000, and one player calls. The flop comes {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, and both players check. The turn card is the {9-Hearts}, Mortensen bets 10,000, his opponent moves all in for 30,700, and Mortensen calls {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. His opponent shows {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a pair of kings.

The river card is the {6-Hearts}, and Mortensen loses to a pair of kings, dropping down to about 148,000 in chips.

Season 5 WPT Player of the Year J.C. Tran
The small blind is all in preflop for 38,700 with {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} against J.C. Tran's {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts} in the cutoff. The board comes {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}, and the small blind flops a higher pair and turns the nut flush to win the pot and double up in chips.

J.C. Tran is down to about 188,000.

Aram Zerounian Eliminated

Shortly before the break Aram Zerounian survived an all in with a short stack. He screamed as loud as he could as it was hard to mask his sheer elation about avoiding elimination.

"I haven't screamed that loud since I had sex with my wife!" he said which got a few chuckles from everyone around him, including his wife who happened to be standing right behind him on the rail.

Sadly, Aram Zerounian's run at the WSOP is over. He busted out courtesy of a wicked beat by Weldon Jackson. Zerounian moved all in with {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Jackson called with {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. The flop was{Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. The turn was the {10-Clubs}. Zerounian improved his hand with a set, but it also gave Jackson more outs with a gutshot. The river was the {J-Spades}. Zerounian couldn't believe that his tournament life was over. Jackson rivered a Broadway straight as Zerounian headed to the rail to be consoled by his wife.

Weldon Jackson increased his stack to 95,000 after that hand.

Yarom Limor Eliminated

Yarom Limor bet out on a flop of {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Christian Abele raised enough to put him all in. "I guess I'm pot committed," Limor shrugged, as he called off the rest of his chips. Limor turned over {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs} and discovered he was well behind Abele's {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. The turn was the {9-Spades}, the river was the {8-Diamonds}, and Limor was eliminated from the Main Event.
