New Chipleader - Lee Watkinson
New Chipleader - Lee Watkinson
Lee Watkinson bet 400,000 and Will Spadea raised to 800,000. Watkinson moved all in for 6.5 million and Spadea quickly called.

Watkinson: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Spadea: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The flop was {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}. The turn was the {J-Spades}. Watkinson was on the brink of elimination and down to six outs. The river was the {K-Hearts} and Watkinson hit one of his outs. He doubled through Spadea and took over the lead. Watkinson increased his stack to over 14 million.

Featured Table: Tuan Lam Wins a 10.44 Million Pot

Lee Childs has the button in seat 9, he limps for 100,000, Tuan Lam limps from the small blind, and John Armbrust checks his option. The flop comes {K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}, Lam bets 350,000, Armbrust calls, and Childs calls. There is now 1.44 million in the pot.

The turn card pairs the board with the {K-Spades}, Lam checks, Armbrust bets 1.5 million, Childs folds, and Lam thinks for more than a minute before he calls. There is now 4.44 million in the pot.

The river card is the {A-Spades}, and the crowd lets out a big "Oooh!" as there are now four spades on the paired board. Lam quickly checks, Armbrust bets 3 million, and Lam calls with {J-Spades}{9-Spades} for a jack-high flush -- the second nut flush. Armbrust mucks.

Tuan Lam wins a *huge* pot worth 10.44 million, increasing his stack to approximately 16 million. John Armbrust is down to about 1 million.

Kevin Farry: A Pearl River Man

Kevin Farry
Kevin Farry
Kevin Farry is originally from Pearl River, NY and as his friends say, "once a Pearl River man, always a Pearl River man." He currently lives in Manassas, Virginia and is a successful sub-contractor building water pump stations and other projects. A graduate of Virginia Tech University, he got his Masters degree in Civil Engineering.

Kevin won his Main Event seat via a $500 satellite at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City.

"I told him he was wasting his money-- was I ever wrong!" said Kevin's sister, Kim shaking her head and laughing. Kim is here ringside rooting for her brother, along with his friends Jimmy and Mike. The package Kevin won paid the top 9 finishers the $10,000 Main Event buy-in along with $5,000 for travel and expenses.

To parlay $500-- to $15,000-- to perhaps $8,250,000 is a dream come true. The worst he can do now is to take home $381,402, still a remarkable return on investment. Best of luck to Kevin.
