Chip Counts

Someone in the crowd just asked the announcer for chip counts. The players' stacks are all a bit disorganized, and so he's having a bit of difficulty estimating them.

We've been doing some quick math as we go and estimating the chip counts here, so check that page for the latest. It appears at the moment both Sirous Jamshidi and Leo Wolpert are close to the lead with approximately 1,250,000 each. Tim West is currently the short stack.

We're about to take a break, so we'll count them up again before we start the next level.

Hand #39: Tim West Doubles Up

Greg Mueller has the button. Leo Wolpert raised to 55,000. Tim West reraised to 400,000. Mueller stood up briefly and sat down after a minute. He called. They went all in in the dark for West's last 15,000 before the flop was shown.

{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for Mueller.
{A-Spades}{K-Spades} for West.

The board was {2-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

The turn was {5-Clubs}.

The river was {6-Diamonds} and West doubled through Mueller to 850,000.

Updated Chip Counts

Looks like Mueller had chipped up a bit more than we realized with all of those stolen pots during Level 1. Despite losing that last hand to West, he maintains a healthy chip lead at present.

Here are the latest estimates:

Greg Mueller -- 1,610,000
Leo Wolpert -- 1,040,000
Thomas Roupe -- 950,000
Timothy West -- 850,000
Sirous Jamshidi -- 830,000
Philip Tom -- 720,000

An Extra Level

The structure for today's final table is similar to what the players followed in Rounds 1 and 2, except an extra level has been inserted here between the first two levels.

On Friday, players started with 10,000 chips and the blinds were 100/200 for Level 1 and 150/300 (with a 25 ante) for Level 2.

On Saturday, players started with 100,000 chips and the blinds were 1,000/2,000 (with a 300 ante) for Level 1 and 1,500/3,000 (with a 400 ante) for Level 2.

Today, players started with 1,000,000 chips. For Level 1, blinds were 10,000/20,000 with a 3,000 ante. Now, for Level 2, blinds will be 12,000/24,000 with a 3,000 ante. And then Level 3 will resemble (relatively speaking) what we had at Level 2 on Fri. and Sat., with blinds of 15,000/30,000 and an ante of 4,000.

Level: 2

Blinds: 12,000/24,000

Ante: 3,000
