Ivey Increasing

Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey is starting to dangerously sneak up the chip count leaderboard. We received word that he recently took down a big pot off Allen Kessler who held a king-high flush but Ivey trapped with a well hidden full house to move up to around 45,000 chips.

Seidel Slips

Three players went to the river with Erik Seidel leading out with a bet showing {3-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}. Carlos Mortensen made the call with {2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} before a third player raised over both players showing {4-Spades}{10-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

Seidel made the call and Mortensen thought for several moments before folding. The third player showed ({Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{K-Spades}) {4-Spades}{10-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for a straight much to the surprise of most of the table considering the action, as Seidel mucked his cards in disgust to fall to 27,000 in chips.

This table has also been recently joined by T6 Poker pro Mel Judah.

Negreanu Likes Queens

As we walked past Daniel Negreanu's table and watched him take down another pot, he flashed a pair of queens in the hole and turned to us and said, "I've had like twenty pairs of queens today!"

The card-rack is going to be hard to beat if this form continues as Negreanu now sits with 55,000 in chips.

A Blackjack Card-Counter's Dream

We just witnessed a hand where the up cards of the table were as follows: {2-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {2-Hearts} {6-Spades} {5-Spades} {3-Clubs}!

"Six-high?!?" came the cry from several at the table.

Interestingly the player who had to bring in with the {2-Diamonds} actually took down the pot!
