Duke Dented

Daniel Negreanu was the bring-in with the {2-Diamonds}, before Grant Pittman completed with the {4-Clubs}. Annie Duke then raised with the {Q-Hearts} showing, and Pittman made the call.

On fourth street Duke collected the {10-Spades} and fired another bet. Pittman made the call with the {J-Spades}.

On fifth street Pittman paired up with the {J-Diamonds} and fired out, which Duke called after catching the {9-Diamonds}.

On sixth street Pittman caught the {7-Diamonds} and fired again, with Duke calling with the {A-Clubs}.

Both players checked the river as Pittman showed down ({8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades}) {4-Clubs}{J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for jacks and eights to take down the pot.

Duke now sits with 40,000 as Pittman jumps to 30,000.

Lind showed down ({Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}) {5-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{2-Spades}{10-Spades} ({10-Diamonds}) for queens and tens to take down the pot to move to 61,000, leaving Seidel on 42,000.

What's at Stake Here?

A lot more is at stake here today than just a $1,485,200 prize pool and a gold bracelet. Bragging rights are also on the line. This is the first $10,000 buy-in stud event in World Series of Poker history. Every one of these players would love to make history.

Also, for the hard-core poker players in the field, winning a World Championship in a game other than Texas hold'em would be a testament to their skill as an overall poker player. A lot of strong players remain in today’s field. It should be interesting to see who makes it through this field and makes the final table of this event.

Time for a Photo, Baby!

The fans are again out in force here in the green section of the Amazon Room as they gather on the rail to catch a glimpse of their favorite poker stars in action.

Recently Shannon Elizabeth was spotted posing for photos for some fans on the rail, and currently the "Prince of Poker," Scotty Nguyen, is chatting to some fans on the rail and posing for some happy snaps.

These players are playing for a lot of money and the glory of a WSOP bracelet, so it's always great to see them take some time out for the fans.

Tony "G" Picks Up Some Chips

Tony "G" Guoga just picked up a nice three-way pot. On sixth street, showing a board of {J-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {J-Spades}, Gouga made a bet into both Dario Alioto and Larry Kanter. Both players immediately mucked their hands.

After the hand Tony "G" is up to around 35,000 in chips.

No Free Food?

Just before the break we overheard David Oppenheim speaking with a tournament director about getting a food voucher.

"We don't get free food for making Day 2? We paid $10,000 to enter this event and we can't get a $10 voucher?" questioned Oppenheim.

Scotty Nguyen and Steve Zolotow joined in the conversation, with Zolotow remarking, "You just gotta ration it out over three days - spend $3.33 per day!"

"You can do that?" question Nguyen

"Of course!" laughed Zolotow, as the three players headed off to the poker kitchen to enjoy their break.
