Pellegrini Eliminated

Edward Pellegrini, short-stacked to around 10,000, called all in from the big blind when small blind Alexander Veldhuis put him in blind. Pellegrini thought it was his lucky day picking up {Q-Hearts} {A-Clubs}, but somehow Veldhuis found {K-Clubs} {K-Spades} which held up on the {5-Clubs} {3-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {8-Spades} board to eliminate Pellegrini.

Sick Situation for Sica

Michael Sica is OUT, raising all in for around 20,000 from the small blind with {A-Hearts} {10-Clubs} and finding himself called by TJ Slifka holding {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}. A very exciting but ultimately fruitless {9-Spades} {10-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {7-Spades} board came down, and Table Slifka is now three-handed.

Roux Eliminated by Rybachenko

A recovery for Sergey Rybachenko courtesy of his old round two rival Anthony Roux. All in on a {3-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {5-Spades} flop with {7-Clubs} {8-Clubs} against Roux's pocket kings, Rybachenko was rewarded by the poker gods for his brave move by a huge outdraw -- the {7-Hearts} on the turn and the {9-Clubs} sent Roux heading for the rail, and saw Rybachenko catapulted right back up to a massive 190,000, two thirds of the chips in play at his table.

No for Nowalany

Anthony Nowalany ran into some bad luck -- or rather he ran his pocket eights into the pocket kings of Richard Tatalovich. No change on the board put Tatalovich up to 85,000 and crippling Nowalany down to a mere 2,800. In fact, Nowalany was beyond recovery, and was eliminated with the minimum of fuss the very next hand.

Slifka Still In It

And the very next hand after doubling up Ferner for the second time, TJ Slifka doubled up his now short stack. Sergey Rybachenko raised with pocket threes and Slifka found timely pocket aces. No threes on the board, and in fact Slifka made an unnecessary full house on the river.

Now on 28,000.

Roux Doubles Up Again

Sergey Rybachenko, for some time a massive chip leader on his table, has doubled up Anthony Roux for a second time. Rybachenko, in the big blind, bet out 4,500 on a {9-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {5-Spades} flop and Roux called; Rybachenko then check-raised Roux all in on the {6-Hearts} turn, and found himself behind with {A-Spades} {6-Clubs} to Roux's {10-Hearts} {10-Clubs}.

Roux is now up to 90,000; Rybachenko is down to 106,000.
