Fohrenbach, Hansen, Suh All Bust

Richard Fohrenbach is but a distant memory, taking his chances with {10-Spades} {10-Diamonds} against Matthew LaGarde's {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}. An ace on the turn, and Fohrenbach is gone.

------

Also OUT are Thor Hansen, in circumstances unknown, and Dong "Jason" Suh, whose {Q-Clubs} {K-Hearts} failed to hit against Rory Monahan's {7-Hearts} {7-Clubs}.

Miller Killer

Brian Miller is also heading towards the rail, smooth calling a preflop raise of 3,600 from Damian Artt with {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} before pushing all in over the top of Artt's 3,600 continuation bet on a {3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop.

Artt called quicker than a greyhound in a cannon with {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, as you would, and a bullet-dodging {2-Hearts} turn and {4-Diamonds} river later and Miller was out.

Hammerschmidt Eliminated, Loudly

Steve Hammerschmidt made it 3,500 preflop in fairly late position; Mike Schwartz called him in the cutoff and they saw a flop of {J-?} {Q-Diamonds} {7-Clubs}. Hammerschmidt immediately went all in for 13,300, and Schwartz called.

Hammerschmidt: {Q-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}
Schwartz: {A-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}

Turn: {3-Clubs}

River: {A-Clubs}

Everyone in the Amazon Room quickly became aware of Mr Hammerschmidt's elimination, owing to his bellowing "CR@P!!! CR@P!!! CR@P!!!" as soon as the river hit the felt. An emotional moment indeed for Hammerschmidt, but suddenly self-aware, he offered a quick smile by way of apology for his outburst, and took his leave.

Hameed Expands His Stack Without a Showdown

Khalid Hameed has propelled his stack up to the heady heights of 108,000 through the medium of sheer aggression.

Craig Marquis raised to 3,100 from the cutoff and Danny Smith in the small blind and Hameed in the big both called. Smith bet out 9,000 on the {7-Spades} {2-Spades} {2-Hearts} flop, and received two callers. He bet out another 25,000 on the {9-Clubs} turn, forcing Marquis to fold then, but laid it down when Hameed re-popped him all in for a total of 47,000. Intriguing stuff.

Mixed Emotions

The poker roller coaster is an unpredictable ride with numerous twist and turns, and when those cards are flipped onto their backs, anything can happen.

Pushing all in under-the-gun for 14,500 with {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, Joseph Bolnick was looking elimination directly in the face when he was called by Alex Triner's {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}.

A fun-filled {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{Q-Spades} board delivered a slice of good fortune, but the dramatic {3-Hearts} on the river quickly took it away making Bolnick's moment of excitement short-lived.

Triner now up to 80,000.
