An Interesting Observation

"Downtown" Chad Brown
"Downtown" Chad Brown
It was just pointed out that Chad Brown, who finished in second place in this event at last year's WSOP, has made the money again this year.

As if that weren't impressive enough, Brown did this without a single rebuy in either tournament.

Sloooooooooooowdown

Now that we're in the money and we've collapsed to two tables, play has slowed down even more than it did when we were approaching the bubble. The shortest of the short stacks could still go out any hand, but for most of these pros, the real tournament begins now. Expect it to be several hours before the final table is set.

Michael Binger Eliminated in 14th Place ($26,025)

Michael Binger Eliminated
Michael Binger Eliminated
Action folded around to Michael Binger on the button and he moved all in for his last 36,500. Tom Dwan called from the big blind and stood pat.

Binger discarded two jacks as Dwan flipped up {Q-?} {8-?} {6-?} {5-?} {4-?}. Binger held {9-?} {7-?} {5-?}. Binger took a look at his first card and when he discovered it was an {A-?} he didn't bother checking the other. He stood up and headed for the exit.

Michael Binger was eliminated in 14th place and takes home $26,025 in prize money.

Tony G Snows Chad Brown

Action folded to short-stacked Tony G in the small blind. He open-shoved all in against Chad Brown. Brown considered calling momentarily but mucked.

As Tony G collected the blinds and antes, he grinned and turned over trip deuces.
