Williams Eliminates Stern; Moves on to the Sweet Sixteen

Daniel Stern
Daniel Stern
On a flop of {Q-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {6-Spades}, David Stern passed the first action to opponent David Williams, who fired a bet of 5,700. Stern then check-raised to 16,000, but the bet didn't faze the young Bodog star, as he kicked it up another notch to 40,000. Stern then moved all in over the top of Williams' reraise and Williams made the call, tabling {Q-Spades} {7-Hearts} for top two pair. Stern produced a pocket pair of aces.

The {7-Clubs} fell on the turn, further improving Williams' hand, and the {K-Spades} on the river ensured a Williams win.
