Dutch Courage

Dutch Boyd, who I have to compliment is looking much slimmer and thus in finer fettle this year, is now sitting on 5,600. He locked horns with Alan Sass, a raising war on a {3-Clubs}

flop catching Sass with his fingers (and tootsies if you will) firmly trapped in the cookie jar, his {K-Hearts}

in terrible shape against Dutch's pocket rockets, and thus searching for a miracle that failed to emerge.

Further to his earlier short-stacked double-up, David Sklansky has doubled up again to 4300. Minimum-raising from the cutoff with the old-fashioned aces, he reduced four preflop callers to one by his all-in on the turn of the 7-9-7-K board, and that one holding J-T for an inside straight draw which failed to miraculously appear.

Setbacks For Tilly

After a seemingly unstoppable last hour, Jennifer Tilly has taken a few hits, first running Big Slick into a flopped set of tens before folding to an all-in raise on a queen high all spade flop. Tilly still has around the 10k mark though.

Keep in the Tilly I say, I'm sure she winked at me earlier, although my imagination does to tend to run wild now and then.

Boutin Boot-Out

Burt Boutin is long gone, raising and then calling all in for his short stack on an {A-Clubs}

flop. He was holding {6-Hearts}

but Ira Marcus who'd limped in on the small blind was holding {K-Hearts}

Who The Devil Is He?

Not since Cliff Richard started wiggling those hips has there been this much excitement, as the former bracelet winner Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott is in the house! But don't worry, he's left his guitar at home, and won't be charming if us with any renditions of 'Heartbreak Hotel' or 'Suspicious Minds', instead using his vocal chords to chat with recent arrival Phil Ivey who has just moved to Jennifer Tilly's left.

Also seated on that table, is the highly talented Praz Bansi, a formidable member of the UK's Hit Squad clan. Praz rose to fame over in the UK when he won a bracelet in last year's Series, and has since gone on to win a number of events in his homeland including the inaugural event of the GUKPT Tour.

against said unknown's {7-Clubs}

, an ace on the flop sealing young Mr Unknown's fate. Paul-Ambrose up to 11,000. Actually, update - he's picked up a few pots since and is now on 13,000.

French Kiss

Unfortunately it was the kiss of death, as Fabrice Soulier's lifespan in this event has come to a sudden end. All in with Q-J on a jack high flop, Fabrice found himself in the stickiest of situations against his opponent's pocket queens. An unhelpful turn and river later and he was gone.

The Tilly & the Ivey

It would appear as though Jennifer is out of Phil's Ivey league, as she has just eliminated the poker superstar from this year's $1,500 Pot Limit Freezeout. We only caught the very end of the hand, but all the chips flew in on the turn of a 5-A-2-x board, with Jennifer's pocket fives leaving Phil's A-T drawing dead and looking for the nearest exit.

Believe it or not, this is an earlier photo. Phil isn't quite as happy now, the words bulldog and wasp possibly more applicable.

Heading For the Exit, or the Bar in Raymer's Case, Perhaps

Eric Cloutier is OUT, all in on the turn of a {10-Hearts}

board with {A-Clubs}

against the unfortunate might of Chris Nelson's {A-Diamonds}

Also OUT is Shannon Shorr, all in preflop with a dominating pair of Kings against his opponent's A-K, but the fateful Ace came on the turn and sent Shorr out to sea. Or similar. Anyway, he's busted.

Mr Greg Raymer is OUT as well - he made it 525 from mid position and the big blind made it 1250; Greg called all in and must have been most upset to see that his K-10 was dominated by his opponent's A-K. No surprising turns of event, and Raymer's gone.

Incidentally, his old seat is now being occupied by Snoopy's favourite, one Kristy Gazes.

And another OUT-age - Mr Erik Seidel, all in preflop with A-10 against pocket kings; no ace and he Seidels quietly away.

The Snoopy Charm

Sadly for me, heartthrob Jennifer Tilly has moved table over to the other side of the room, and is no longer in view. However, I still feel that she has a space in her heart for your intrepid reporter, so I will be looking to catch up with her later on where I shall be pulling out all the stops and even giving her a dose of the trusted snoopy charm. I'll let you know how I get on, but whatever you do, don't tell Phil!

In more poker related news, Tilly is still running well with circa 12,000 in chips.
