Frank Byrne Doubles Through Jesse Maupin

Steve Guillot limped in from late position, Jesse Maupin raised to 14,000 from the button, Frank Byrne moved all in for 24,000 from the small blind, Guillot folded and Maupin called.

The flop came {A-Spades} {8-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} missing both players. The turn was also a blank coming the {2-Hearts}. Hellmuth needed one of six remaining queens or jacks if he was to stay alive. The {K-Hearts} on the river missed him and he was eliminated in 71st place. Along with the $6,604, he also takes home a place in history as this was his record 65th WSOP cash.

Thomas Partridge Eliminated

Thomas Partridge got the last of his chips all in preflop with {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} vs. the {10-Clubs} {10-Hearts} of Utsab Saha. An ace hit the flop for Saha, Partridge could not improve and he hit the rail.

Saha was up to 135,000 after the hand.

Andy Garza opened for 11,000 from the cutoff, Osmin Dardon moved all in for 42,000 from the small blind and Garza called.

The flop was a doozy-- {J-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {3-Spades} making both players sets. The turn was the {3-Hearts}, the river was the {5-Hearts}, and Dardon doubled through Garza with set over set, increasing his stack to 110,000. Garza was down to 160,000.

Morgan Machina Picks Up a Nice Pot Without a Showdown

Action folded around to Fabrice Soulier in late position and he raised to 13,400. Morgan Machina called from the button and the two went heads up to the flop.

The flop came down {K-Spades} {10-Clubs} {9-Spades} and Soulier bet 9,000. Machina made the call and the turn came the {7-Diamonds}. Soulier checked 4th street and Machina bet 17,000 which Soulier quickly called.

The river came the {4-Spades} and after a Soulier check, Machina moved all in for approximately 53,000. Soulier folded and Machina picked up the pot without a showdown. After the hand, Machina is up to about 160,000 while Soulier slips to just under 49,000 chips.

Chris Cornell Eliminated

Chris Cornell raised to 15,000 from middle position and Andy Garza called from late position. When it got to Shane Stacey in the big blind, he moved all in for just over 60,000. Cornell called all in for his last 28,200 and Garza passed. The players showed:

The flop hit both players coming {K-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}. Stacey still had the best of it however and his position only improved when the {7-Clubs} hit the turn. The river seatled the deal, falling the {A-Diamonds}. Chris Cornell was eliminated and Shane Stacey chipped up to just over 330,000.
