Vaswani Loses Another Pot

Greg Jamison has scooped a nice pot against Ram Vaswani. The board read {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{A-Spades} and Jamison had raised the flop, bet the turn and then checked down the river to show {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts} for trip nines. He took down the pot to move to over 500,000 chips.

Benyamine Wheelin' and Dealin'

Ram Vaswani, Mike Matusow, and David Benyamine saw a flop of {6-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}. On the flop, Matusow bet out, Benyamine raised, and only Matusow made the call. On the turn card of the {8-Spades}, Matusow check called a bet from Benyamine. When the river card of the {2-Hearts} hit, Matusow again checked and Benyamine wasted no time in betting. Matusow then went into the tank for about 5 minutes agonizing a call. He looked over to Benyamine and they both smiled at each other. Finally, Matusow made a crying call. As Matusow probably suspected, Benyamine had the wheel as he showed his cards of {A-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {6-Hearts}. Matusow patted the table and told his neighbor about his hand.

After the hand, Matusow is down to 230,000.

Berry Johnston Chops to Double Up

Ram Vaswani raised preflop and was called by David Benyamine, Greg Jamison, and Berry Johnston. Johnston was all in for around 26,000. All three of Johnston's opponents checked to the river. At showdown on a board of {7-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {2-Clubs} , David Benyamine showed {A-Spades} {3-Clubs} {6-Spades} {3-Diamonds} for aces up and a live three for his low. This was good enough for the side pot. Johnston showed {A-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} for seven's full and chopped the side pot with Benyamine.

After the chop, Johnston is up to about 54,000 in chips, or just over 1 big bet.

Berry Johnston Triples Up!

Berry Johnston raised from early position with only 2,000 left behind. Mike Matusow the reraised from middle position with Eugene Katchalov flat calling on the button. Johnston tossed his last 2,000 into the middle and hoped for the best.

The flop came {2-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Matusow fired out a bet into the side pot. Katchalov made the call.

The turn was the {K-Hearts} and again Matusow fired with Katchalov making the call.

The river brought the {Q-Spades} and both players checked it down. Matusow showed {J-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{4-Hearts} for jacks and deuces which was good for the side pot as Katchalov mucked. However Johnston flipped over {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades} for a straight to triple up to about 170,000 chips!

Matusow Slips

Mike Matusow raised from middle position and David Benyamine 3-bet from late position. Matusow made the call.

They took a flop of {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Matusow checked to Benyamine who made a continuation bet. Matusow made the call.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and Matusow checked again to Benyamine who fired another barrel. This time is worked as Matusow laid it down to slip to 190,000 chips.
