Flack Doubles Up, Again

Layne Flack continues to make his presence known at his table, this time by doubling through Shannon Shorr. Layne got all his money in with 7-7-3-2 against Shorr's A-K-10-10. Layne flopped trips while Shorr picked up a flush draw. The trips held for Layne who's now up to 19,200.

Eric Lynch Eliminated

Eric Lynch was eliminated after flopping a top set of aces with two clubs on the board. While the turn was a brick, the river dropped the {7-Clubs} to give his opponent a flush and the nut low.

I Think That's a Chop

The board read {4-?} {5-?} {Q-?} {A-?} {2-?}.

The first player turned over {A-?} {2-?} {4-?} {5-?}.

The second player turned over {A-?} {2-?} {4-?} {5-?}.

Both players had identical four pair. Not much confusion about what happened with that pot. Chop it up.

Flack Triples Up

It's almost like deja vu -- on a flop of {10-Clubs} {8-Spades} {6-Spades}, Layne Flack moved all in and was called by two players. Flack had flopped top set while his opponents were both on draws. One of his opponents held {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {5-Spades} for the nut-low draw and a flush draw. But the board bricked on the turn and paired sixes on the river to give Flack a boat and increase his chip stack to 60,000.

Ship It!

Well, half of it. A player in the field thought he had taken the hand down but had missed that the river gave his opponent a weak low. The player yelled out, "Ship it!" -- then immediately corrected himself with, "Well, half of it..."

The Layne Flack Show

While there are still more than a few professional players left within the field tonight, Layne Flack has been getting quite a lot of press. But seeing as how he's been gambling in huge pots almost every other hand, it's understandable.

Most recently, Flack butted heads with Shannon Shorr on a flop of {K-Spades} {9-Clubs} {2-Spades}. Flack checked to Shorr who bet 7,000 into the pot. Flack check-raised to 30,000, putting Shorr all in.

"Let's see how good Shannon Shorr plays," Flack exclaimed after moving all in.

"He plays pretty good," Chris Ferguson chimed in.

"We'll see," Flack responded. Shorr called and Flack said, "Good luck, you've got two outs."

Flack showed {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} {9-Spades} {9-Hearts} for middle set and nut flush draw, and Shannon showed {K-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {4-Spades} for top and bottom pair and a baby flush draw.

The turn brought the {10-Hearts} and the river dropped the miracle {K-Hearts}, which was a two-outer for a bigger full house.

"WOW!" Flack yelled. "I guess Shannon Shorr plays good."

Things Moving Quickly

We're four out from the money and play here has tightened considerably. Several players are making large pot bets that go uncalled and at multiple tables it has been several minutes since a flop has been seen.

We fully expect that to change once the money has been reached.
