Day 2 To Begin Shortly

The 68 remaining players have begun to file into the room and find their seats. We're already in the money and the plan is to play down until the final table.

We'll be underway in a few minutes.

One big question remains about some pros such as Chris Ferguson, Erik Seidel, and Joe Hachem: Will they play super-aggressive and then scoot off to the H.O.R.S.E. event or will they go for the win here?

McClure Crippled

Mikhail Ustinov raised the pot from under the gun. Raymond McClure reraised pot to about 13,000. Action folded back to Ustinov and he raised to put McClure all in, and McClure called.

Ustinov: {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {8-Hearts} {3-Clubs}
McClure: {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {2-Spades}

The flop came {Q-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {2-Clubs} with a turn of the {6-Clubs} and a river the {8-Spades}. Ustinov scooped McClure with the nut low and two pair for the high.

McClure is down to 1,800 and Ustinov up to 39,000.

Big Three Way Action

The board read {10-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} on the turn when Jim Geary, Vladimir Poleshchuk, and Doug Mandeville got all in.

Geary: {A-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {2-Diamonds}
Poleshchuk: {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {J-Hearts} {2-Hearts}
Mandeville: {A-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {3-Clubs}

The river brought the {10-Diamonds} and netted Mandeville a full house for the high. Geary and Poleshchuk split the low as they both held ace-deuce.

Poleshchuk is up to 41,000. Geary down to 4,100. Mandeville up to 31,000.

Bryan Eliminates O'Brien

George O'Brien and Jeff Bryan tangled with each other just recently. Preflop, Bryan made it 4,800 and O'Brien called.

The flop came {Q-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {3-Hearts} and Bryan checked to O'Brien. O'Brien bet the pot of 11,200 and Bryan called. The turn brought the {K-Clubs} and Bryan check-called O'Brien's bet for all of his chips.

Bryan showed {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {2-Spades} and had O'Brien drawing dead. O'Brien mucked his hand as the dealer dealt the {10-Diamonds} on the river.

O'Brien has been eliminated and Bryan moved up to 51,000.

Poleshchuk Flops the Wheel

After Vladimir Poleshchuk called a pot-sized raise preflop from D'Jack Klingler, the players saw the flop come {5-Clubs} {4-Spades} {2-Diamonds}. Klingler only had a few hundred remaining after the flop and put the rest in then, with Poleshchuk making the call.

Poleshchuk turned over the wheel with {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {2-Hearts} and held the best hand against Klinger's {A-?} {Q-?} {Q-?} {4-?}. The turn came the {2-Clubs} and the river the {7-Hearts}.

Klinger was eliminated as Poleshchuk scooped the whole pot.
