After Michael Mizrachi scooped a stud-8 pot with a six-high straight that was good for both high and low, Chris Reslock is on life support with only 8,000 remaining in his stack.
After returning from the dinner break, Billy "The Croc" Argyros was in the mood for a massage. He removed the crocodile that usually rests atop his head and his masseuse delightedly donned it.
Current chip leader Michael DeMichele just took a detour through the stack of Billy "The Croc" Argyros. On third street, the players showed:
Argyros: (X) (X)
DeMichele: (X) (X)
Argyros completed, DeMichele raised and Argyros called. DeMichele proceeded to bet every street through the river and Argyros called him the whole way. In the end, they showed:
Argyros: () () (X)
DeMichele: () () ()
Billy mucked his river card and was left with just 15,000. DeMichele increases his chip lead as his stack is now over the 1,100,000 mark.
After being crippled by Michael Mizrachi on a previous hand, Chris Reslock was all in for the 1,000 ante.
Reslock: (X-X) (X)
Abe Mosseri: (X-X) (X)
Mizrachi: (X-X) (X)
Mark Gregorich: (X-X)
Gregorich brought it in, Mosseri completed and Mizrachi called. On fourth street Mosseri checked, Gregorich checked, Mizrachi bet, and both players called. On fifth street Mosseri checked again, Gregorich checked, Mizrachi bet, Mosseri called and Gregorich folded. Sixth street brought another check from Mosseri, a bet from Mizrachi and a call from Mosseri. Then, on seventh, Mosseri suddenly led out.
"I can't raise," said Mizrachi as he made the call.
Mosseri turned up for a 7-6 low, but Mizrachi had him with for a 7-5 low and a pair of fives for high. Reslock missed everything with and was eliminated.
Abe Mosseri, seated on Table 4 near the rail, is currently taking bets from railbirds on whether or not he can throw his empty water bottle into a trash can approximately 13 feet away (and directly behind Steve Zolotow's head). On his first throw, he sunk it and banked $20 to a roar from the crowd.
Andy Bloch raised from middle position, Abe Mosseri called from the small blind and Keith Sexton called from the big blind. The flop was . Mosseri led out and both Sexton and Bloch called. The turn was the . Mosseri checked, Sexton bet 17,000 all in, Bloch called and Mosseri folded.
Sexton:
Bloch:
The river was the and Sexton could not improve. He was eliminated, while Bloch increased his stack to 632,000.
After the bring in, Gabe Kaplan completed and Marcel Luske raised. Luske then bet every street through the river and Kaplan called him down. On seventh street the players showed:
Kaplan: () (X) ()
Luske: () () ()
Kaplan, after catching a third presumably on seventh street, just called Luske's river bet and Marcel's kings up were no good. Kaplan stacked the pot and is now sitting on a stack of about 310,000. Luske fell to roughly 240,000 on the hand.
Farzad Bonyadi just took a big from from Daniel Negreanu when he made a full house to beat Negreanu's two pair.
After the bring in, Bonyadi completed and Negreanu called. Bonyadi then bet every street through the river and Negreanu called him down. The players showed:
Negreanu: () () ()
Bonyadi: () () ()
Negreanu had two pair by fourth street, but Bonyadi made trips on sixth street and filled up on the river. He climbs to approximately 780,000 on the hand while Kid Poker is left with about 600,000.
Billy "The Croc" Argyros completed on third street, James Mackey raised, David Oppenheim called, and Argyros called all in. On fourth street Mackey checked, Oppenheim bet and Mackey called. On fifth Mackey checked again, Oppenheim bet, and Mackey gave it up, putting Oppenheim heads up with Argyros.
Billy the Croc turned up on the river for queens full of threes and Oppenheim mucked. The Croc dragged the pot, increasing his stack to 50,000.
During the hand, Michael DeMichele, who has been seated to Argyros' left for most of the day, was moved to another table. As he departed, the Croc joked to him, "Piss off! You've been my nemesis all day!"
