Internet Woes

We apologize for the lack of early/often updates, but we've been having some trouble with our Internet connection here in the Amazon Room.

We should be up and operational again shortly.

James Losing Ground

A player raised to 400 and Kenna James made the call from the big blind. The flop came {J-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {8-Hearts}. After James checked, the player bet into James, a value of 700. James made the call.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and James led for 1,500. The player made the call.

The river came the {A-Diamonds} and James checked. His opponent bet 5,000 and James thought before he mucked.

This is the latest hand from James' table as he's lost a few hands now and is back to his original starting-stack size of 10,000.

Soulier and Lieu Eliminated Before Break

Fabrice Soulier raised all in on the turn for 6,000 after his opponent bet 1,000. The board was {K-Hearts} {6-Spades} {2-Hearts} {5-Hearts}. His opponent called. Soulier showed {6-Clubs} {5-Spades} for two pair and his opponent called with {J-Hearts} {J-Spades}. The river was another king and gave Soulier's opponent a better two pair, which busted Soulier from the tournament.

Liz Lieu and an opponent went to the turn on a board that read {A-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and Lieu checked. Her opponent bet 2,500 and Lieu moved all in for 9,000. Her opponent made the call and showed {3-Diamonds} {3-Spades}. Lieu held {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts}. The river was the {J-Diamonds} and Lieu has been sent home.

De Wolfe Cruising

Roland de Wolfe
Roland de Wolfe
Roland de Wolfe has been cruising and busting people along the way.

In the first hand, an under-the-gun raiser made it 300. De Wolfe reraised to 1,100 and the under-the-gun player shoved all in. De Wolfe called with {A-?} {Q-?} and was up against his opponent's {A-?} {8-?}, having him dominated.

The board ran out {Q-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {6-Spades} {8-Hearts} and de Wolfe eliminated his opponent.

On the second hand, de Wolfe held {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} in the big blind versus the {K-Clubs} {9-Clubs} of the small blind. All the money went in on the flop or {K-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}. The turn came the {2-Hearts} and the river the {J-Clubs}. Roland got another elimination that put him at 35,000.

Phil Hellmuth In'n'Out

Phil Hellmuth, in classic Phil Hellmuth form, arrived two hours late to the tournament. He then proceeded to play one hand, flopped a pair and a flush draw, missed and stormed out, saying, "How the hell am I gonna hit a hand?!"

Sebok Eliminated

Joe Sebok copped a bit of bad luck this afternoon and has recently been eliminated from the tournament. Sebok got the last of his chips in good holding Big Slick against an opponent's {A-?} {J-?}, but a jack on the flop sent Sebok packing.
