Almost Ready

We're nearly ready to begin day 2 of the $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi/Low. The 117 remaining players are unbagging their chips now.

Walter Browne Eliminated

A gold bracelet is not in the cards for Walter Browne, at least in this event. He started the day short-stacked and got the last of his chips in the middle in a three-way pot against Jarrod Van Horn and Debbie Burkhead. Burkhead took the low half of the pot with 6-5-3-2-A; Van Horn took the high half of the pot with two pair, kings and sevens. That left Browne without a chair to sit on when the music stopped. He is out of the tournament.

Plastik Rapped

David Plastik: x-x / {A-Hearts}
Soheil Shamseddin: x-x / {6-Diamonds}

On third street, Plastik bet and Shamseddin called.
On fourth through seventh, Plastik checked, Shamseddin bet and Plastik called:
Plastik: {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{Q-Spades}-x
Shamseddin: {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}-x

Shamseddin turned over:
{6-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for a flush and an A-2-4-6-7 for the scoop. Plastik mucked. He's down to 4,500. and Shamseddin has 15,000.

Grizzle Hanging On By His Fingertips

Sam Grizzle started the day as one of the shortest stacks, but he's hanging tough. He got all in on third street with {Q-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} / {6-Diamonds} and finished with two pair, queens and sixes. That beat the single pair of sixes his opponent held. Neither player came up with a qualifying low.

Grizzle is still desperately short with just 3,600 chips.
