Not This Time Either

Nancy Todd Tyner
Nancy Todd Tyner
From mid-position, Dustin "Neverwin" Woolf opens with a raise to 17,000. Nancy Todd Tyner makes the call from late position.

The dealer spreads the flop: {4-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {6-Hearts}

Woolf checks, and Tyner makes a bet of 20,000, which is enough to take down the pot. She currently sits at 165,000 in chips.

John Phan Eliminates Goldberg

John Phan raised to 20,000 in early position and Fred Goldberg went all in from the big blind for 46,000. Goldberg quickly turned over {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and Phan showed {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades} and the turn brought the {5-Diamonds} and Goldberg was looking good going into the final card.

But the river was the {k-Spades} and Goldberg was relieved of his chips.

Phan is up to 149,000.

Campbell Out of Chips

Sitting on the button, Mark Calzadillas raises first-in to 15,000. James Campbell pushes all in from the small blind for a total 84,000. Calzadillas goes into the tank for an eternity. Finally, he does make the call, tabling {A-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} . Campbell shows down {5-Hearts} {5-Clubs} .

Right on the flop, he falls behind when it comes {A-Clubs} {8-Spades} {10-Hearts} . The turn and river, {9-Clubs} , {A-Hearts} fail to improve his pocket pair, and he heads to the rail.

Woolf Blitzes Two

Neverwin?
Neverwin?
Dustin "Neverwin" Woolf just eliminated two players on back-to-back hands.

The first:
John Chadwick went all in from middle position for his last 13,000. Woolf called from the big blind with {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} to Chadwick's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. The board came {3-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}.

The second:
Eric Liu shoves all in for more than 50,000 on the button and Woolf called with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Liu showed {K-Spades}{6-Hearts}. The board was {4-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}.

Woolf, who won another pot while this post was being written, is up to 220,000.

Taft vs. Manole

Mihai Manole and Tim Taft got it all in preflop, Taft with {A-Spades} {10-Clubs} and Manole with cowboys, {K-Hearts} {K-Spades} .

He got roped on the flop though, when it came {8-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {5-Spades} . The turn and river, {9-Hearts} , {4-Spades} failed to provide the two-out re-suck for Manole, and he sends a portion of his stack to the double-up fund for Tim Taft, who is still alive with 54,000.

Welcome Back, Theo

Theo Tran
Theo Tran
Look out players. Theo Tran just dragged a huge pot.

Though he was our overnight chip leader, Theo has had a difficult time getting anything going today, and was in the middle of the pack with 80,000 at the dinner break.

Now he has a bit more.

A player in a late position opened the pot with a raise, and Theo made the call. From the blind, Mark Calzadillas came over the top of both players, moving all in with a big stack. The initial raiser folded, but Tran made the call fairly quickly, showing down {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} . Calzadillas was in big trouble with {K-Clubs} {Q-Spades} .

When the flop hit, he was already done for. It came {K-Spades} {4-Clubs} {4-Spades} , making a boat for Theo Tran and leaving Calzadillas drawing dead to a running chop. The turn and river ragged off, and Tran removed Calzadillas from his newfound stack of chips.

After the dust settled, Theo Tran regained the chip lead with a massive 343,000, while Calzadillas was sent off to wait in the cashier's line just behind the player he knocked out moments before.

Carter Gill is Sorry, But He'll Take The Chips

With a raise in front of him, Carter Gill bumped it to 40,000 and his opponent went all in. Gill reluctantly called.

"You probably got me," said Gill, turning over the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. "I just thought you had absolutely nothing."

His opponent showed {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, way ahead on a flop of {7-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. The {2-Hearts} came on the turn and Gill called out for a four-outer.

"King, one time," Gill said.

The river brought what Gill was looking for — the {k-Clubs}.

"Sorry man," Gill said. "The fact you didn't shove made you seem really weak."

Gill is up to 290,000 and his opponent heads to the rail.

JC Tran Does Not Stop and Go

JC Tran
JC Tran
Scott Montgomery raised to 18,000 and JC Tran called from the big blind. The flop came {9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Tran moved all in.

"This wasn't premeditated. I can still play with 46,000," said Tran of his at-risk chips.

Montgomery went into the tank before calling with {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}. Tran showed {10-Spades}{9-Spades}.

"I'm not going to stop and go with that," Tran said.

The turn and the river were no help to Montgomery and Tran is at 135,000. Montgomery is at 250,000.
