In The Mix...

Down to our final twenty here in the Amazon room, with play due to kick off in around fifteen or so minutes.

Three tables remain and they're right next to the last three tables of the $2,000 event which I could rename 'Fistpump City' the way some of those players are sweating their crucial coinflips...

We Are...

Ready to begin!

Cards are in the air...

And now they're all over the floor. Sigh.

The dealer needs to be careful where he throws them.

John Cernuto Eliminated in 20th Place ($16,649)

"Miami" John Cernuto - 20th Place
"Miami" John Cernuto - 20th Place
Triple Draw:

After the second draw James Van Alstyne stood pat and John Cernuto made the call for most of his remaining chips. Van Alstyne stood pat once more and Cernuto drew one again.

Van Alstyne bet the last of Cernuto's chips and the latter lifted his cards, knowing they probably weren't good but made the call anyway.

"I have a wheel," said Van Alstyne showing {7-?} {5-?} {4-?} {3-?} {2-?}. Cernuto flashed {8-?} {7-?} {5-?} {3-?} {2-?} before leaving the table.

The Life Of Brian

Omaha-8:

Brian Powell has just suffered a couple of vicious swings, first down, then up in the Omaha Eight Or Better game.

Mike Wattel was doing all the betting on the turn and river of a {8-Hearts} {3-Spades} {J-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} board. Powell and Adam Friedman calling him down.

Friedman showed {A-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} for the nut low and Wattel showed {A-Clubs} {5-Spades} {8-Spades} {3-Diamonds} for a full house, Powell flashing Aces with the nut flush draw on the flop then mucking.

Soon after though, Powell got some chips back getting paid by Todd Brunson on a {7-?} {3-?} {5-?} {J-?} {10-?} board when he flipped {4-?} {3-?} {3-?} {2-?} which scooped the high and the low.

Soheil Shamseddin Eliminated in 18th Place ($16,649)

Soheil Shamseddin - 18th Place
Soheil Shamseddin - 18th Place
Omaha-8:

Soheil Shamseddin raised to 30,000 from UTG, leaving himself 17,000 behind. Michael Binger reraised to 45,000 from the button, Shamseddin tossed in his last 2,000 and Binger called.

Shamseddin {A-Clubs} {2-Spades} {4-Spades} {7-Diamonds}
Binger {A-Spades} {2-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {4-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {8-Spades}. Binger made eights and fours for high, there was no possible low hand, and Shamseddin made his exit in 18th place.

After the hand, Binger was up to 150,000.

Eric Froehlich Eliminated in 17th Place ($16,649)

Eric Froehlich - 17th Place
Eric Froehlich - 17th Place
Omaha-8:

Eric Froehlich raised from UTG and Huck Seed called from the big blind. The flop was {K-Spades} {5-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}. Seed checked to Froehlich, who bet out. Seed made the call. The turn was the {Q-Spades} and Seed led out. Froehlich raised all in and Seed called.

Froehlich {A-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {K-Clubs}
Seed {A-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {3-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}

The river was the {A-Clubs} and Seed scooped the pot with a set of threes, eliminating E-Fro in 17th place.

Off His Todd!

Razz:

Powell: {3-Spades} {3-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {J-Spades}
Friedman: {3-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {J-Hearts}
Brunson: {5-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {A-Spades}

Powell raised after a jack brought in with Friedman and Brunson calling. Friedman took over the lead on 4th and 5th before Brunson led the beating on 6th.

At this point Powell folded but Friedman called on sixth and seventh only for Brunson to show him 7-6-5-3-A which was good as Powell could only flash {A-?} {5-?} for a 8-5-4-3-A low.
