Jankulovski Ousted

Andrew Wang raised from under the gun, Phillip Jankulovski three-bet from the button, and then Jimmy Tran four-bet from the big blind. Wang called and then Jankulovski called all in.

The flop came down {10-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} and Tran checked. Wang checked behind. The turn brought the {2-Hearts} and Tran bet. Wang called. The river sprung the {5-Hearts} onto the felt and Tran bet again. Wang folded this time and Tran scooped in the side pot first. He then showed pocket nines, {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts}, to win the hand against Jankulovski's {K-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}.

Wang Katchalov of Chips

Andrew Wang raised it up from the cutoff before Eugene Katchalov put in the three-bet from the button. Wang called and they saw a {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop. Wang checked, but then raised the bet of Katchalov, before firing again on the {J-Spades} turn. Katchalov moved all in for 3,000 more but when Wang tabled {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}, Katchalov found himself drawing dead and he mucked his cards.

The river was the {10-Clubs} and Wang extends his lead as Katchalov heads to the payout desk.

Alaei Crippled and Eliminated

Daniel Alaei Eliminated
Daniel Alaei Eliminated
Daniel Alaei was already battling a short stack but was crippled after a clash with Jim Buckley.

Buckley raised the button before Alaei popped it from the big blind. Buckley called and they saw a flop of {K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Alaei led out with a bet and Buckley made a hesitant call.

The turn was the {2-Spades} and Alaei casually tossed out another 6,000. Again Buckley made the call. The river was the {Q-Spades} and Alaei fired a third barrel but this time Buckley announced a raise. Alaei gave a wry smile as he went into the tank. He looked down at his last 8,500 chips and decided to save them for another spot as he folded his hand and gave up the monster pot.

A few minutes later Alaei was all in preflop with {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, but when the board ran out {9-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Spades}{10-Hearts} Tommi Horkko tabled {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} for the straight and the best hand to eliminate Alaei from the tournament in 24th place for a collect of $6,432.

Horkko check-raised the flop and then bet every street. Litchie raised all in on the river and Horrko made the call. Litchie's flush was the nuts with {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} and he doubled to 60,000.

Knost Good Timing

Lennart Knost and Brock Parker were involved in a raising war that resulted in Knost having his last chips in the middle on the turn. The board read {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} with Knost holding {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for just a gutshot straight draw as Parker tabled the rockets - {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}!

The river was the {7-Clubs} and Knost is sent to the rail in 22nd place.

Shakaryan Flushed By Shulman

Ernest Shakaryan has been eliminated in 21st place. After reraising preflop from the big blind, Barry Shulman had opened from the button; the two took a flop of {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

The short-stacked Shakaryan moved all in for his last chips and Shulman made the call. Shakaryan held {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} for top pair and the lead, but when the {4-Clubs} landed on the turn, Shulman had completed his flush holding {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

The river bricked and Shakaryan was sent to the cashier.

Mehmood Eliminated

Omar Mehmood was all in preflop against Nikolay Losev and Shaun Buchanan. The flop came down {6-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {3-Spades} and Losev checked to Buchanan. Buchanan bet and Losev called.

The turn was the {J-Diamonds} and Losev checked again. Again Buchanan bet. The river was the {10-Diamonds} and Losev check-called another bet from Buchanan.

Buchanan turned up pocket queens, {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}. Mehmood turned up {A-Clubs} {4-Hearts} saying, "Damn, I liked that flop, too. It gave me a chance to win. But all right, where's my money."

Como-A-Go-Go

Robert Como has just taken down a very nice multi-way pot to rocket up the chip count leaderboard.

After four players had all capped the action preflop, Como fired bets on all streets on a board of {8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} with just Nikolay Losev surviving to the showdown. Como revealed {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} which was good to take it down. He moves up to 175,500 chips.
