We've had our first table end for the day with Marc Sander moving on to Day 2 after defeating the other nine players at Table 49.

Sander is guaranteed to be in the money, as each of the 100 players advancing to Day 2 will receive a portion of the prize pool.

More Tables Getting Short

There are three different heads-up battles going on in the Amazon Room right now, and more than a few other tables down to three-handed play. One of those tables is Phil Ivey's, where he's now got just 5,000.

Another three-handed table is Thayer Rasmussen's, where he has 14,500.

Tyson Marks Advances to Day 2

Our second table has finished for the day. On the final hand, Tyson Marks and his opponent got their stacks in before the flop.

Marks held {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} to his opponent's {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}, and held on to win when the board came {6-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}.

Dutch Boyd Will Be Back

Dutch Boyd and Jason Mercier got heads up on their table, and Boyd came out victorious.

On the final hand, Boyd held pocket Kings to Mercier's ace-queen. When Mercier couldn't improve, Boyd ensured himself a payday and a seat at the table tomorrow.

Also recently eliminated from the event was Andy Bloch who lost a race with ace-queen versus Paul Darden's pocket 7s.
