Harmetz Caught in the Snow

Amnon Filippi raised to 700, Phil Hellmuth called, and Dan Harmetz three-bet to 7,100. Filippi folded and Hellmuth called. Hellmuth drew one while Harmetz stood pat.

Harmetz checked, but Hellmuth checked behind. Hellmuth showed K-5-4-3-2 but Harmetz couldn't beat it, his attempt at a snow with a pair of sixes ending in failure.

Hellmuth dragged the pot and is currently on 25,000 in chips.

Good Life for Ivey

Phil Ivey's still running good after his $2,500 Deuce-to-Seven Draw victory a week ago. He opened to 1,500 from middle position and was called in three spots. David Grey, Doyle Brunson, and Johnny Chan each drew one card Ivey drew two.

After the draw, all players checked to Chan, who bet 4,000. Grey and Ivey both called. Chan showed down 9-8-6-4-2. It was a hand that was better than Grey's but worse than Ivey's 9-8-4-3-2. Ivey collected a pot worth roughly 19,000 chips.

LOL Clockaments

Chino Rheem made it 1,500 to go from the hijack seat and Gus Hansen reraised to 8,000 from the small blind.

As Rheem thought over his decision, Greg Mueller (now sitting in John Hennigan's old seat) called the clock in jest, causing the entire table to bust up in laughter.

Rheem ultimately folded and is down to 22,000 while Hansen is up to 77,000.

Grey Doubles through Doyle

Texas Dolly took a shot at eliminating an opponent. It just didn't work out in his favor. Doyle Brunson reraised to 6,000 from late position after David Grey opened with a raise to 1,300. Grey called all in for 5,225 total and drew one card. Brunson elected to stand pat with 10-8-7-5-4 to see if Grey could make his draw. With 9-6-5-4 in his hand, Grey squeezed out his draw card... and found a deuce to stay alive in the tournament. He doubled up to about 11,000.

Vanessa Rousso Eliminated

Vanessa Rousso did not enjoy her time here in the Brasilia Room this afternoon. After a recent hand against Daniel Alaei, she doesn't have to worry about spending any more time here.

Rousso opened all in for 3,500 from the button. Alaei was in the small blind. he called and drew one. Rousso drew two. Alaei showed down J-7-6-5-3. Rousso was holding 10-9-2 and drew a queen and another ten.

"This is the most painful tournament I ever played. I'm so glad it's over," said Rousso as she gathered her things.

Dario Alioto Eliminated

Arrivederci, Dario
Arrivederci, Dario
Carlos Mortensen opened for 2,000 from UTG and Freddy Deeb called from early position. Sitting in the cutoff, John Juanda three-bet to 8,500 only to have Dario Alioto come over the top for 17,000 from the button. Mortensen and Deeb folded, but Juanda made the call.

Juanda drew one while Alioto stood pat. Juanda bet 30,000 and Alioto called all in for his remaining 25,000.

Juanda turned over 8-7-5-4-3 and Alioto mucked, his tournament at an end. With that pot, Juanda's stack swelled to 102,000, good for the current chip lead.

Braceletville Count: 34

After Tom Schneider was eliminated, sending the bracelet count on Table 248 down to 29, he was replaced by... Allen Cunningham, taking the Braceletville count up to an evening high of 34.

This situation hasn't gone unnoticed by Andy Bloch, who posted this to Twitter only moments ago along with a photo of his opponents:

"There are now 34 bracelets at my table, incl. 2 this year. I'm the only 1 w/o a bracelet"

A look at the lineup:

Seat 1: Allen Cunningham (5)
Seat 2: Johnny Chan (10)
Seat 3: Ville Wahlbeck (1)
Seat 4: David Grey (2)
Seat 5: Doyle Brunson (10)
Seat 6: Andy Bloch (0)
Seat 7: Phil Ivey (6)
