Tournament Death for Dylewski

With 5,000 in the pot by the {8-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {3-Hearts} flop, Jakub Dylewski snap-shoved fromt he cutoff, and got himself a snap-call all in for 26,000 from Guillaume Patry on the button. What monstrous holdings could these two have?

Dylewski: er, {K-Clubs} {9-Spades}
Patry: ummm, {A-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}

Turn: {6-Hearts}
River: {2-Clubs}

Patry doubled to 74,000, while Dylewski was down to just 17,000.

The very next hand Dylewski moved in, and he'd picked up a real hand in the shape of two ladies -- but Daniel Austin had picked up aces, and that was the end of Mr Dylewski.

Liu-ser

Eric Liu

Andy "BKiCe" Seth raised from mid position to 2,800 before Eric Liu three-bet to 13,700. Seth then raised enough to put put Liu all in and he called with {A-Diamonds} {J-Spades}. Seth tabled {K-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} before the dealer brought us {5-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {8-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}.

A killer river for pro Liu puts an end to any bracelet dreams in this event.

De Korver Carved Up Early Doors

Incidentally it looks as though EPT Grand Final winner Pieter de Korver busted out in the first hand. One player raised with pocket eights and de Korver pushed with {A-?} {J-?}; a third player called all in behind with {K-?} {J-?} and the initial raiser called too.

Eights held up and de Korver technically busted out in 269th, but for some reason received the payout slip for 270th.

Humberto Humbug

Humberto's going to keeeeeeellll you
Humberto's going to keeeeeeellll you
With the absolute maximum of fuss, noise and entertainment value, Humberto Brenes has busted out.

Down to just 15,000 he open-shoved in mid-position and it looks and it folded around to Douglas Faulkner in the small blind who reraised all in to isolate. The big blind wasn't interested, and they were heads up.

"Show me ace-king!" shouted Brenes, flipping {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts}, and there was some ooh-ing when Faulkner did indeed turn over {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}.

Board: {2-Spades} {K-Spades} {7-Clubs} {7-Spades} {7-Hearts}

"Im go-eeng to keeeel you!" shouted Brenes good-naturedly at the dealer, before wishing his whole table good luck and sauntering off to the payout desk.

Mizrachi Hijacked

A player in the hijack position raised to 2,300, was called in the next seat before Robert Mizrachi moved all in from the button. Only the cut off called with {A-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} and Mizrachi would need to catch up with his {K-Spades} {Q-Hearts}.

All the way to the river {8-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}. A good start for Mizrachi but the running diamonds took it away from him.

Super-Mega-Hyper-Fast

The call of "Winner on table insert-number-here!"is echoing around the cardroom so fast that the floorman is having trouble keeping up with handing out the little red payout slips.

Latest to go is Michael Herra -- his pocket nines were no good against Damon Sita's {A-?} {Q-?} when an ace came on the river, and he patiently sat in his seat, cheerfully waiting for his prize money.

Pro Pesticide

It must be something in the air as pros are falling fast here in our corner of the Amazon Room.

In the latest installment there was a raise from the button before Nam Le pushed for his last 17,600 from the BB with {5-Clubs} {5-Diamonds}. The call was made with {A-Spades} {K-Hearts} that got there on a {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} board.

No Moor, Man

Back to Moominland

British online player Chris Moorman, a legend in his own laptop, is busto. He raised to 4,000 and then just shoved when another player made it 12,000 behind. Unfortunately for Moorman, his opponent was holding {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} and called; Moorman's {Q-?} {8-?} didn't really stand a chance and he is no more for this tournament.

Susan Saws Up the Opposition

Mitchell Garshofsky has been propelled out of the tournament by Susan Sawyer-Smith after her pocket jacks held up against his pocket fives. He is out of here, and she is up to a still below-average 38,000.
