Table of Note

Just in front of the blogging desk we have Neil Channing (23,000), Kelly Kim (69,000), Marco Johnson (140,000), Clark Hamagami (46,000) and Christian de Leon (32,000) all seated together.

With this table unlikely to break until well after dinner break, it should provide for plenty of fireworks!

Double Trouble Douglas

Champie Douglas is back to eliminating opponents; however this time it was only two!

Douglas called both player's all in holding {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} to be in a dominating position against Anthony Nardi's {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and a unknown opponent's {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Douglas sent two people home as he soars to over 200,000 and change.

Nathan Chips Up

Chipped up on ChipMeUp!
Chipped up on ChipMeUp!
Local ChipMeUp supporter and Australian Rayan Nathan has been peddling the short stack all day.

As we wondered past his table we found him all in for his last 15,500 and managed to find a caller from the big blind.

Nathan: {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
Opponent: {K-Spades}{J-Spades}

Having to fade a little sweat on the {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts} board, Nathan would double through to 36,000 and change.

King Johnson

Kelly Kim opened from the hi-jack to 5,500 with both Marco Johnson and the small blind calling.

The flop of {K-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs} was checked round to see a bet of 12,500 from the small blind called by Johnson, and Kim decided to pass.

The river {3-Hearts} was met with a 20,500 bet, which was check-called by the small blind after he stated, "If you have a king, its good!"

Johnson did indeed have a king and tabled his {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} to best his opponent's flashed {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Johnson has now surged to 170,000 in chips.

Alaei Surges

With the action folding round to Mehdi Alaei in the small blind, he found himself in a raising war with Jonathan Evans (in the big blind) and eventually find himself all in.

Alaei: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Evans: {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} to see Alaei double through to 160,000 as Evans was left crippled with only 10,000 in chips.

Hamagami Doubles

It's HAMA time!
It's HAMA time!
Clark Hamagami has found a much needed double up when Marco Johnson shoved from the small blind into his big blind.

Hamagami made the call holding {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and was in great shape against Johnson's {7-Spades}{3-Spades}.

The board blanked out and Hamagami doubled through to 70,000 as Johnson slipped to 70,000 in chips.

Simmons Eliminates Boyd

Facing a raise in late position, Joe Simmons made the call before Howard Boyd put in a hefty reraise. Both players made the call, and by the turn Boyd had all his chips in the pot.

Boyd, holding a pair of fours, was drawing to just two outs after Simmons had flopped a set of deuces.

No help came on the turn and Boyd exited to the rail as Simmons continued his rampage as he soars to 396,000 in chips.
