Event 32 - $2,000 No Limit Hold'em

Welcome to Event #32. It's another No Limit Hold'em event packed into the busy WSOP schedule. It's unlikely that it will have thousands entering like some of the weekend $1,500 events, but we're still expecting four figures. We're a good way in to the Series now and pressure is beginning to build on those yet to land a big score. Play is due to begin at midday so join us back here then.

Interesting Tables

As always interesting table draws arise.

Joe Sebok has to deal with poker and all things shopping with Tiffany Michelle and Vicky Coren seated next to him.

One European flavor table has bracelet winner Alan Smurfit, EPT winner Michael Schultz, and French player Remy Bichel for company.

And all things American Pie at the table with Shannon Elizabeth, Jonathan Aguiar, and David Chicotsky battling it out.

Two-Pie Good

The river was out, giving us a {A-?} {7-?} {8-?} {K-?} {2-?} board. Chips were in the middle and Shannon Elizabeth was sitting on the button and facing a bet. It was a bet she called, but nodded and mucked upon seeing the SB's {A-?} {8-?} for a flopped two-pair.

Another Notch in the Belt Needed

The field has expanded up to nearly 1,500 players now. Players who we failed to spot, turned up late or are in the Brassilla and Miranda room include:

Nam Le
Wooka Kim
Scott Clements
JJ Liu
Andrew Scott
Ben Fireman
Todd Terry
Jon Little
Hevad Khan
Adam Levy
Paul Wasicka
Kevin Saul
Nikolay Evdakov
Jeff Williams
Josh Arieh
Chino Rheem

Back-to-Back?

Yesterday's happy moment.
Yesterday's happy moment.
Making a surprisingly early start today is Roland DeWolfe. I say that as I thought he might still be out celebrating after his victory in Event 27 - $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo 8-or-better. He must be looking at trying to reach records by winning back-to-back bracelets.

Discrimination?

An early bust out at the start of level two is Danish online cash maestro Morten "pokergirl" Erlandsen. He's been in Las Vegas for ten days but has only played side games, successfully, before today. And after this, it might be a while before we see him again.
