The Mouth is in the House

The slender Mike Matusow has silently slipped into today's field and taken his seat in the far side of the tournament area. Matusow hasn't had a great WSOP to date, and will be looking for a big result here in this event.

Parker Going for Number Three

Can Brock Parker make it three bracelets?
Can Brock Parker make it three bracelets?
Yevgeniy Timoshenko raised from late position before Nikolay Evdakov popped it up from the cutoff. Brock Parker called out of the big blind, as did Timoshenko and they took a flop of {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}.

Play checked to Evdakov, who bet out. Parker then put in a check-raise which drove Timoshenko out of the pot. Evdakov made the call, and then called bets on the {2-Diamonds} turn and the {5-Spades} river.

Parker tabled {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} for the best hand to collect the pot as he gets off to a good start in his quest to achieve the inconceivable and win his third WSOP bracelet of the series.

No Mor for Ofir

Wow. Only one guy can top Feldman's achievement -- the unfortunate Ofir Mor, who "didn't win a hand" in levels one and two, but must have played an awful lot of them as he's busto before the first break. Yikes. Today might go faster than we expected.

Aces No Good

Daniel Negreanu raised from under the gun and Barry Greenstein popped it up. The table folded around and Negreanu made the call.

They took a flop of {8-Clubs}{10-Spades}{K-Hearts}, and Negreanu led with a bet before Greenstein raised. Negreanu reraised and Greenstein called. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and again Negreanu fired with Greenstein again raising. Negreanu called and they saw the {2-Clubs} fall on the river. Negreanu checked and Greensteen bet again.

"Against most players I would raise here..." pondered Negreanu before just flat-calling.

Greenstein tabled {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}.

"No good," laughed Negreanu and flipped {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} as they chopped up the pot.
