If you are the person to whom Ms Liu is chatting, don't you think you should let her concentrate? Something must be really important, as she's barely spent a moment today without her phone clamped to her ear.
After both Doyle and Todd Brunson played the $10,000 Limit Hold'em event the other day, with Todd managing a 14th place cash, today we have only one Brunson in our low-to-mid roller event -- Ms Pam Brunson. Although of course we're only three levels in yet, so there's still time for any other Brunsons who may have bought in to arrive.
Rather than waiting for her to amass chips or play an interesting hand, please enjoy this completely gratuitous photo of Patrik Antonius' other half right now.
Interesting back to back hands for Teddy "Iceman" Monroe -- one lost, one won.
Seeing a flop, Monroe called a bet from his opponent, as he did on the turn as well. His opponent bet out again on the river and this time Monroe raised -- but mucked when his opponent showed pocket , flashing him an ace.
Monroe got most of the chips back the next hand though, when he bet every street of the board and his opponent check-called all the way down. Monroe turned over for a flush draw that had turned into top pair on the river, and his opponent mucked.
John Phan under the gun got to see a flop which he liked enough to bet on; a gent in mid position and Jesse Rios in the small blind who had checked to him both called.
Phan bet again on the turn and this time Rios was the only caller, so they went heads up to the river.
Rios checked again and Phan bet once more; Rios called and his for trips was good enough to take the pot.
