$10,000 Dusted Off in Seconds...

Daniel Negreanu is already out of the PLO in pretty much record time. Wanting to gamble for a big stack, he got his last set of chips in with {10-Spades} {9-Hearts} {5-Spades} {4-Spades} on a {6-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {8-Clubs} board against {A-Spades} {A-Hearts} {3-Spades} {J-Clubs} and couldn't hit when the turn {8-Spades} and river {J-Spades} came.

Serock Flats with Quads

With the board reading {3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and about 14,000 already in the pot, John Duthie fired out a bet of 5,400. His opponent was Joe Serock who called.

Duthie tabled {K-?}{3-?}-X-X for a full house, but Serock surprisingly tabled {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs} for quads!

Serock didn't have the nuts and Duthie was a little puzzled, but rather relieved, that Serock didn't raise the river. Duthie was left with 1,100 to work with as Serock progresses to 57,000 chips.

A Few More Late Arrivals...

We're up to 287 entrants and the board is still slowly ticking upwards. A couple of notable late inclusions are Andy Bloch, Marcel Luske, Sam Farha, Greg Raymer, Roland de Wolfe and Eugene Todd.

Benyamine's Sneaky River

With the board reading {J-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {9-Diamonds}, David Benyamine checked and Bruno Fitoussi bet 800. A player behind raised to 2,700. Benyamine made the call and so did Fitoussi. The turn was the {2-Spades} and Benyamine moved in for his last 125 chips. Fitoussi bet 2,000 and the other player called.

The river was the {6-Spades} and the action went check-check in the side pot. Fitoussi mucked when he was shown {J-Clubs} {9-Spades} {4-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}, but Benyamine's {Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} had cheekily made a backdoor straight for a treble up.

Benyamine is back up to 12,000 with both second chance chips still left.

Duthie Done

Matt Graham raised to 600 preflop and John Duthie committed his last 100 chips. JC Tran, the player in the big blind, and Graham all made the call.

The flop was {3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and action checked to Graham, who fired 1,200 into the side pot. Tran folded and the big blind called.

The turn landed the {5-Clubs} and this time Graham's bet of 2,700 was enough to force his opponent out of the pot to collect the side pot.

Graham tabled {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} for top pair and Duthie was all in with {A-Spades}{4-Clubs}{J-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

The river was the {4-Hearts} and Duthie was eliminated as Graham chips his stack up to 44,000 chips.

In or Out?

Patrick Antonius has shown up, but we're not actually sure if he's playing yet. At the moment, he's just sitting chatting with Noah Boaken on table 247 without seemingly being involved in the tournament.

Crocky Up to the Challenge

The big names keep trickling in as we creep up towards the 300 player mark.

One late-comer is Billy "The Croc" Argyros, who is already talking up a storm in regards to the "Durrrr Challenge" as he's been seated right next to Tom Dwan, and only one table away from Patrik Antonius, who now has chips in front of him and is in the middle of the action.

Meanwhile, we've had a Gus Hansen sighting. Apparently, he was wandering the hall, we optimistically presume on his way to a table somewhere in the Brasilia Room. We'll be scouring the tables to try and confirm his entry into today's event.

Smith Survives

Jesse Rios and Justin Smith both committed 3,500 preflop to see the board spread {Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Rios led with a 4,000 chip bet before Smith moved all in for about 10,000. Rios made the call.

Rios: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Smith: {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}

Rios led with his aces, but the turn was the {3-Clubs} and the river the {9-Diamonds} to complete the straight for Smith and give him the double up. He needed it as he's already used his two rebuy chips as he sits behind 21,000, while Rios has 7,200 and two rebuy chips behind.
