Winner on Table 28

Another cash for Monnette
Another cash for Monnette
A lot of preflop action occurred between Jon Monnette and his opponent before all the chips went in on {6-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {10-Clubs} flop. Monnette had the best of it with {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds} to his opponent's {K-Spades} {J-Spades}. The turn {2-Spades} and river {J-Hearts} came before Monnette was confirmed as the winner and will return tomorrow.

Break Time

Dinner break was scheduled for now. Some tables are taking it, some are just taking a 10 minute break and returning to finish off their matches. Two tournament clocks will be running in the room. Our clock will continue with the players returning soon.

Winner on Table 21

[Removed:197] made little work of his heads-up match to win his table. His opponent made his move with {K-Hearts} {5-Hearts}, but Nasr was going anywhere with {A-Hearts} {J-Spades}.

The board ran {9-Hearts} {8-Spades} {3-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {8-Spades} to hand us another winner.

ElkY Eliminated

ElkY hits the road

Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier has just been eliminated from the tournament when his {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} were cracked on the river by {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

Grospellier called the all in shove preflop for his tournament life, and when the board ran out {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} Grospellier stormed from the table and out the door.

Makhija Advances

Another table has been won, with Amit Makhija taking down the heads up battle that see-sawed for over 60 minutes.

Now only twelve matches remain, with only two of them on dinner break and all but three heads up.

Winner on Table 17

Close to advancing but fell at the last.
Close to advancing but fell at the last.
Bill Edler's dominating position at his table disappeared and he has just lost his heads up battle to Cort Kilber-Melby.

All the chips went in on the turn with the board showing {A-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {6-Spades} {3-Diamonds}. Edler tabled {7-Clubs} {9-Clubs} to Kilber-Melby's {7-Diamonds} {8-Hearts}.

The river {5-Clubs} made both of them straights, but Kilber-Melby's stretched to the eight, crowning him victorious.
