Teltscher Through to Next Round

Teltscher advances
Teltscher advances
Catching the action on the turn of {8-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{A-Clubs}, Mark Teltscher led out for 10,000 before his opponent pushed all in.

Teltscher called and stated, "please let the best hand hold up one time!"

Teltscher: {6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{3-Spades}

The river would fall the {Q-Clubs} and Teltscher would advance to day two.

Radoja Advances

William Blanda pushed his last few thousand into the pot holding {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and was called by Mark Radoja and his {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {2-Spades}{8-Spades}{K-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Blanda headed tot the rail as Radoja advances to the next round.

The Dragon Makes Day 2

Pham advances
Pham advances
Catching the action on the turn with the board reading {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, David Pham check-called the all-in push from his opponent.

Pham: {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Opponent: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

Pham would evade the board pairing or a diamond dropping when the river peeled the {Q-Spades} to see him eliminate his opponent and advance to Day 2.

Juha Juha

Justin Filtz and Juha Helppi saw a {3-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {4-Spades} flop. Helppi check-raised Filtz before he was set all in by his opponent. He paused, took off his sunglasses and made the call with {J-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} to Filtz's {5-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}. The turn {10-Hearts} and river {9-Hearts} came before Helppi's claimed the 70,000 pot, just 10,000 behind Filtz now.

Straight Over Straight

Peter Traply has staved off elimination and doubled up to 55,000 through Scott Desveaux.

They both had straights on a {4-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} board but Traply's {3-Clubs} {6-Clubs} better his foe's {A-Spades} {3-Diamonds}. So they continue.

Montgomery Back In Front

Scott Montgomery has gone from a near six-to-one disadvantage to now chip lead in his heads-up match.

After being all in holding {K-?}{6-?} against {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} on a {7-?}{6-?}{3-?} board, Montgomery found a six on the river to double.

A few hands later Montgomery's {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} managed to stay ahead of his opponent's {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} when the board ran out {A-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} after all the money went in preflop.

Match Update

Scott Montgomery is locked in a tough heads-up battle, and has let the chip lead slide over the past 20-minutes or so.

Barny Boatman is grinding away, slowly chipping away to be sitting around the even chip mark.

As for one of the matches that is coming back from dinner, Neil Channing has arrived along with one of his opponents while they both wait for their third opponent to return.

Around the Tables

Marco on a slippery slope
Marco on a slippery slope
Marco Traniello is now a two to one dog in his heads-up battle. He's having to let a lot of hands go on flop to bets from his opponent. He looks a little frustrated like he's not getting any cards to fight back with.

Juha Helppi and Justin Filtz are neck and neck with chips going one way, then the other.

Peter Traply is still down in his match and will need a double up from Scott Desveaux to get back to level.
