Winner on Table 27

Mike Mercaldo has finally got the better of Marco Traniello to win his table. He ground Marco down over the course of the last ninety minutes with lots and lots of small pots, mostly with no showdowns.

The final hand saw all the chips go in on a {2-Spades} {3-Spades} {4-Diamonds} flop with Traniello holding {4-Clubs} {5-Clubs} to Mercaldo's flopped straight with {5-Hearts} {6-Diamonds}. The turn {10-Diamonds} and river {8-Spades} came before a dejected Traniello walked off.

Mercaldo will return with the other winners tomorrow.

Boatman Takes Lead

Barny Boatman has found a double up to take a three-to-one advantage in his heads-up battle.

All the money went in on the flop of {2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts} with Boatman ahead holding {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} to his opponent's {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

One of the worst cards in the deck landed on the turn for Boatman when it dropped the {Q-Spades} increasing the cards he would need to evade to fourteen.

However when the {4-Diamonds} peeled on the river Boatman was shipped the pot and surged to the chip lead.

Channing Heads Up

Neil Channing has dispatched of one his opponents and is now heads up with Mike Hauptman.

However Channing will have to do some work as he sits with a heavy five-to-one chip disadvantage after losing a few of the early hands to Hauptman.

Juha Needs Helppi

The river was out on this one giving us a {6-Hearts} {9-Spades} {J-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {A-Spades} board. Justin Filtz led out for 18,000 and Juha Helppi called but mucked upon seeing {K-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}.

Helppi isat a five to one chip disadvantage now.
