Bohling Haul

Scott Bohlman is up to 482,000 after quartering Josh Schlein in a decent-sized pot.
Schlein bet out on the turn of the {4-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {5-Clubs} board and Bohlman flatted; Schlein bet out again on the {2-Hearts} river and this time Bohlman raised. Call, and showdown.

Schlein: {A-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {3-Spades}
Bohlman: {A-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {5-Spades} {6-Spades}

Sirous in a Bit of a Jam

An enormous hand, and all of it went the way of Mark Tenner and his giganto-stack.

Sirous Jamshidi raised and got called by both Mark Tenner and Derek Raymond in the blinds.

The {8-Clubs} {8-Spades} {7-Spades} flop checked around to Jamshidi, who bet again. Tenner called, but this time Raymond passed. Heads up to the turn.

Tenner now bet out on the {3-Hearts} turn and Jamshidi flatted; Tenner then check-called the {2-Diamonds} river -- and discovered he was scooping.

Tenner: {A-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {2-Hearts}
Jamshidi: {A-Spades} {Q-Spades} {10-Hearts} {6-Diamonds}

"Good call," said Jamshidi, as his stack was reduced to 115,000. Tener meanwhile is our chip monster on 1.5 million.

Sirous Jamshidi Eliminated in 6th Place ($37,350)

We caught up with the action on the turn, the board reading {4-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {2-Hearts} {7-Diamonds}.

Most of Sirous Jamshidi's chips were already in the middle, and he checked to Scott Bohlman, who bet. Jamshidi thought about it for some time, before raising all in -- and got snap-called by Bohlman.

"You flopped the wheel, huh?" sighed Jamshidi. "I have three pair. Maybe a miracle will happen."

Bohlman: {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {3-Spades}
Jamshidi: {Q-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {2-Clubs}

River: an unmiraculous {9-Diamonds}

Out he goes in sixth.

Lend Us a Tenner

Josh Schlein raised and got looked up by Gent-Who-Can-Most-Afford-It Mark Tenner. Tenner checked the {K-Hearts} {5-Spades} {8-Hearts} flop and Schlein seems to have just abandoned the idea of a limit game and just stuck his last 51,000 in the middle -- either way, Tenner called and they were on their backs.

Tenner: {4-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds}
Schlein: {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {10-Clubs}

Turn: {J-Clubs}
River: {5-Clubs}

Thus, Mr. Schlein doubles to 215,000 while Mr Tenner's stack is barely dented.

Coppola Breaks His Silence

It's been a while since Fabio Coppola did anything entertaining, but never fear! Here he is.

He raised preflop and called a reraise from Josh Schlein on the button to see a {K-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} flop, which Coppola check-called.

Coppola bet out on the {J-Spades} turn and then called a raise from Schlein. He bet out one more time on the {8-Spades} river and now Schlein raised all in. Coppola called, and they chopped.

Coppola: {A-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} for the low
Schlein: {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {9-Diamonds} for the high

Announced Coppola, "Against you I will never fold a hand because you play so bad. Keep pushing. We'll see who goes out first."

Indeed we will. They were shaking hands most jovially just now, though.

By the by, I feel it's important to note that the Italians are among the most fragrant railers I have ever had to work amongst. Aftershave-tastic, how very lovely.

Coppola Gets Quartered

Another interesting hand between Fabio Coppola and Josh Schlein, and this time most of it went to Schlein.

Coppola in the big blind called a raise from Schlein, and then check-called on the {8-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} flop. He checked the {4-Spades} turn and Schlein bet again. "Do you really think I'm going to fold?" asked Coppola -- naturally, he called.

Both players checked the {6-Diamonds} river and it went to showdown. Perhaps Coppola should have folded -- they both held the nut low and a pair of aces, but Coppola's kicker wasn't good enough and Schlein took three quarters of the pot.

Coppola: {A-Hearts} {J-Spades} {10-Spades} {2-Clubs}
Schlein: {A-Spades} {K-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {2-Hearts}

Coppola on a Small Heater

Fabio Coppola
Fabio Coppola
Two pots in a row for Fabio Coppola have the Italian railbirds in a tizzy. The first pot was against Derek Raymond, who limped in from the small blind and then called a raise from Coppola. Raymond check-folded to a bet on a flop of {K-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}.

We can't be certain, but amongst the shouting and whooping of the Italians, we could have sworn Coppola said, "Floppa setta!"
