Hellmuth Rivers Nuts

Phil Hellmuth led out for 700 on a board reading {8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and found two callers.

The river fell the {10-Clubs} and once it was checked to him, Hellmuth fired 1,000 into the pot, leaving himself 700 behind.

One player folded, but one made the call to see Hellmuth announce "Nuts!" and table {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{J-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for a full house as he raked in the pot to push back to 5,500 in chips.

Men Fought The Law, And The Law Won.

With a few raises back and forth Men 'The Master' Nguyen found himself all in for about 9,500 against amateur poker player and Larry Zieper, Attorney at Law.

Nguyen: {A-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {4-Hearts}
Zieper: {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {J-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Spades} {9-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} to see Zieper river a queen-high straight and move to over 20,000 as Nguyen slips to just 1,700.

Jungblut Eliminated

One of our PokerNews reporters bumped into Brett Jungblut as he was walking away from the tournament floor.

Junglbut informed us that he had been knocked out of the tournament, and decided to impart us with what had happened.

The first hand saw him flop a wheel and then get quartered on the river. A few hands later, he was all in with {A-?}{A-?}{Q-?}{2-?} against an opponent holding {A-?}{A-?}{10-?}{5-?}.

His opponent would made Broadway on the river and Jungblut was sent packing.

Flank Sent Packing

Layne Flack has gone from one-time chip leader to a railbird in the space of a level.

Wondering over we first saw Flack doubling an opponent up before losing to another player holding {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts} on a final board reading {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{A-Spades}.

Flack also shared the Ace, but was unable to catch one of his kickers and made a quick exit out of the Amazon room.

Racener Doubles

John Racener has managed a quick double before dinner when his {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades} managed to stay ahead of his opponents {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} when the board ran out {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{A-Hearts}.

Racener is now up to just over 5,000 in chips.
