Eric "Rizen" Lynch Eliminated in 12th Place ($33,281)

Eric "Rizen" Lynch - 12th Place
Eric "Rizen" Lynch - 12th Place
Eric "Rizen" Lynch raised from the cutoff before Benjamin Gilbert moved all in from the button. Lynch made the call and would be at risk. Gilbert held pocket queens and really had Lynch on the ropes as he only held pocket nines. After the board ran out {7-?} {5-?} {3-?} {A-?} {4-?}, Lynch was sent packing in 12th place for over $30,000.

After we lose one more player in the tournament, the players will relocate over to the secondary feature table to continue the event.

DeWitt Takes One With Little Action

Jason DeWitt raised to 36,000 from the button and was called by both blinds. William Erickson was in the small blind and Benjamin Gilbert was in the big blind.

The flop came down {J-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {8-Clubs} and everyone checked. The turn brought the {K-Hearts} and everyone checked again. The river was the {A-Diamonds} and again, everyone checked.

DeWitt tabled {A-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} and both his opponents mucked.

Thomas Applegate Eliminated in 11th Place ($33,281)

Thomas Applegate - 11th Place
Thomas Applegate - 11th Place
We thought the dealer had stopped dealing during today's WSOP gold bracelet ceremony. It turned out that wasn't the case. So we barely got to the table in time to see the elimination of Thomas Applegate. He was all in with {A-?} {10-?} against the running-great-today Michael Katz, who showed {A-?} {K-?}. Neither player connected with the {9-?} {3-?} {5-?} {6-?} {9-?} board. Applegate was therefore eliminated in 11th place.

The last ten players are now racking up their chips to move to the secondary feature table. We'll have a re-draw when they get there.

Um... Whoops

Jack Effel just sent word to our floor supervisor that some work needs to be done on the secondary feature table. As a result we will be moving *back* to Green 152. The players are not happy at all. The floor has promised to summon Jack Effel to the final table so that the players can voice their complaints.

Break

Upon moving back over to Green 152, the players continued to voice their complaints and the tournament staff asked the players if they would rather take their 20-minute break now. The players all said that they rather would and the staff promised to have Jack Effel at the table when they return so the situation can be discussed further.

Play Resumes

Cards are back in the air with 11 minutes remaining in the level.

Jack Effel did make an appearance, by the way. He explained that the secondary feature table is off-limits so it can be prepared for the Main Event. The players, led by Jason DeWitt, complained that playing on Green 152 allowed almost no opportunity for railbirds to watch. Effel suggested switching to Green 151, which had a bigger rail. That was the agreed solution.

Max Greenwood Eliminated in 10th place ($33,281)

Max Greenwood - 10th Place
Max Greenwood - 10th Place
Max Greenwood opened the action from under the gun with a raise to 40,000 and Jason "JCarver" Somerville called from middle position. In the big blind, Jorg Peisert, made a reraise to 175,000. Greenwood then announced that he was all in and after Somerville folded, Peisert made the call.

Peisert held {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds} and would be racing against Greenwood's {J-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}. The flop contained an ace, {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {7-Spades}, to put Peisert in the lead. The turn brought the {4-Diamonds} and Greenwood began to put his backpack over his shoulder. The river brought the {3-Spades} and that was it.

"You gotta win races." mentioned one of Greenwood's railbirds as he was sent to the rail in 10th place. We're now officially at the final table.

Wes Watson Eliminated in 9th Place ($47,070)

Wes Watson - 9th Place
Wes Watson - 9th Place
Jason DeWitt raised to 38,000 and then Wes Watson moved all in from the cutoff seat for 189,000 total. DeWitt made the call and tabled {K-Clubs} {J-Hearts}. Watson was in the lead holding {7-Clubs} {7-Diamonds}, but racing for his tournament life.

The flop came down clean for Watson, {Q-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}. The turn wasn't so clean as it came the {J-Diamonds}, pairing up with DeWitt's hand. The river was the {10-Spades} and that was it. Watson was our 9th-place finisher, taking home nearly $50,000. DeWitt is up to 1,750,000.
