Vos Busto

Mark Vos - eliminated
Mark Vos - eliminated
We haven't said much about the Peter Hedlund / Mark Vos / Mel Judah table that's in the center of the Orange section yet today. Vos was never able to recover much of his stack after having his aces cracked by a turned set of jacks earlier in the day. He was grinding and grinding.

On his last hand, Vos picked up {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}. He opened for 700, then reraised all in to 8,450 after Hedlund made it 3,000 to go. Hedlund called with {A-Hearts} {K-Spades} and hit his ace on the turn to knock out Vos and climb to 60,000.

Moorman Heads for the Rail

Shortly after laying down his set of threes, Chris Moorman got involved in another pot.

In this hand, Moorman was in the big blind and got all his chips in the middle against his opponent in the small blind.

Small Blind: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Moorman: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

The race didn't last long as the board came {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, ending Moorman's Main Event run.

Enter the Dragan

"All in and a call on Table 12!"

We scurried over to find Dragan Galic raking in a huge pot, holding {6-Spades} {7-Clubs} for a straight on a {Q-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {5-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} board against his opponent's {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades}. The pot took Galic's stack up to the lofty heights of 88,000.

Gracz Gaining Ground

On a flop of {2-Clubs} {3-Spades} {2-Diamonds}, Michael Gracz was first to speak, and he put out a bet of 2,500. His lone opponent was in position, and he came along to the turn with the call.

It was the {9-Clubs}, and Gracz fired again, this time 4,900. His opponent was sitting with his hand over his mouth, and he reached with his free hand to grab the calling chips and toss them in.

The last card off was the {5-Hearts}. Gracz loaded another bullet and fired 11,000 more at the pot. After some mental gymnastics, his opponent made the call. Gracz turned over {3-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} for the flopped full house, and that was the winner. He's up to is up to 63,000 now.

Ike Can't Fade Kings

Kings? Really?
Kings? Really?
Isaach Haxton and an opponent were all in pre-flop, Haxton having the larger of the two stacks. It was {10-Hearts} {10-Spades} for Haxton against {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}, the board running out {J-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {J-Spades} {4-Clubs} to double his opponent up and leave Haxton with 10,200 in chips.

Jelassi Folds to Pressure

Ramzi Jelassi was on the button for a hand in which an opponent raised preflop to 800. Jelassi and the big blind both called. The big blind led out for 1,000 on a flop of {10-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {3-Hearts}. After the initial preflop aggressor folded, Jelassi raised to 4,000. His opponent called.

The turn fell {K-Hearts} and again the big blind led out. He tossed an orange chip into the middle and declared a bet of 5,000.

"What happened?" Jelassi asked, taking his ear buds out of his ear. The dealer explained that there was a bet of 5,000. Jelassi frowned and folded.

Yang: {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}

A House for Sandra

Sandra Naujoks
Sandra Naujoks
After a flop of {K-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}, the player under-the-gun bet out for 1,200 and Sandra Naujoks made the call from position.

Both players checked the {7-Clubs} on the turn and Naujoks led for 3,200 when action checked to her after the {10-Hearts} landed on the river. She got the call and turned over {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} for the flopped full house. Her stack now stands at 42,300.

All In and a Call!

"All in and a call on Table 12!"
"All in and a call on Table 6!"
"...on Table 55!"
"...on Table 64!"

It's that time of night, poker fans. We're not sure if it's the effects of the early dinner break or just their sheer willingness to gamble, but we've been hearing a LOT of that clarion cry in the last several minutes.

While some players like Dragan Galic, Tom Schneider, Jeff Williams, and Ludovic Lacay are beginning to pull away from the pack, the faces of many an amateur have fallen as fast as their chip counts, all of that early excitement replaced by persistent thoughts of "Did I really just blow ten grand in less than eight hours?"
