Clark Hamagami Eliminates an Opponent

On a flop of {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, Clark Hamagami raised his opponent enough to put him all in. After tanking for a couple of minutes, Hamagami got the call.

Hamagami showed {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the nut flush draw while his opponent showed {Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for top pair. The turn brought the {4-Clubs}, giving Hamagami the flush and the river sealed the deal with the {3-Clubs}.

Hamagami now has 15,600 chips.

Minneapolis Jim Eliminates a Player

The hijack raised to the 3,000 preflop on Minneapolis Jim Meecham's small blind, and Meecham took about 15 seconds before making the call.

On the flop of {2-Spades}{J-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, Meecham bet 10,000 and got the call. Meecham turned up aces and his opponent showed queens. A {3-?} and {5-?} on the turn and river gave Meecham the wheel and he's now sitting on 26,175 chips.

J.J. Liu Eliminated

We caught this hand just as J.J. Liu was standing up at the table.

She got all of her chips in the middle with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} on a flop of {5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. Her opponent called with {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and turned the flush with the {4-Hearts}. A meaningless {2-Diamonds} on the river ended Liu's day.

Rafe Furst was also eliminated from the tournament.

Jerry Yang is an Interested Observer

Jerry Yang is hanging on the rail a couple of hours after busting from today's event. Turns out, he's sweating one of his students from home in California.

She's sitting on a short stack, but Jerry seems optimistic about her chances of hanging on.
