Prop Bets

Erick Lindgren

John "Johnny World" Hennigan recently came over to Erick Lindgren's table and asked him about a possible bet. The bet would be Daniel Negreanu and Erick Lindgren against Hennigan and Phil Ivey at the WSOP. At first, Hennigan offered the bet to Lindgren for two million dollars, but Lindgren declined saying, "I don't want to bet enough that Ivey will try really hard at."

Hennigan offered the bet for one million, but Lindgren still declined as the two joked about it.

After that happened and Hennigan walked away, Greg Raymer picked up his empty water bottle and asked for odds on sinking a shot in the trash can about 15 feet away. Lindgren told him he would give him even money on $100. Raymer took the shot and sunk it, to which Lindgren reached in his pocket and passed $100 over to him.

The Phils Arrive

Phil Ivey

Two more players showed up and you just might know who they are. Phil Hellmuth is now seated over at Marco Traniello's table and Phil Ivey is sitting with Gavin Smith and Daniel Negreanu.

Ivey sat down, got his first hand, looked at his cards, and then asked "What game is this?" The table laughed while the dealer informed Ivey of the game.

Ivey then looked at his chips and was very surprised. "Where'd all my chips go?!?!" he questioned. The dealer then had to explain how the triple chance worked and how you have two optional add-ons. "I wanna rebuy." said Ivey.

"You can't until after the hand." replied the dealer.

"Gosh, how disruptive are you to a game!" exclaimed Gavin Smith.

Ivey then raised and took the pot.

Matusow Busts Newhouse

According to Mike "The Mouth" Matusow, Mark Newhouse raised to 525 from early position. One player flat-called before Matusow reraised to 2,000. "I was studying him real hard." commented Matusow as he relayed the hand to the reporter. Then, Matusow said Newhouse moved in for 6,200 more. The caller folded and Matusow made the call.

Newhouse held a nine-eight low, but was bested by Matusow's nine-six with {9-?} {6-?} {5-?} {4-?} {2-?}. Matusow now has 25,000 chips.

Cutting It Up

Allen Cunningham raised to 425 from early position and both Freddy Deeb and John "The Razor" Phan called. Deeb was on the button and Phan was in the big blind. Cunningham drew one card, Deeb two, and Phan one.

After each player received their draws, Phan led with 700. Cunningham called and Deeb folded.

Phan showed {9-?} {7-?} {5-?} {4-?} {2-?} to scoop the pot.
