Banished By Bansi

Trying for Bracelet No. 2
Trying for Bracelet No. 2
There was a raise UTG before British player Praz Bansi three bet from the button. The UTG player moved in and Bansi called with {J-?} {J-?}. We were off to the races as the UTG player held {A-?} {K-?}. The board bricked though and UTG left with no hand shakes. He didn't seem to be too popular at that table.

The very next hand Bansi three bet another opponent forcing them to fold. He's up to 65,500 now.

Always After Dinner Break

Kessler
Kessler
I approached the table with Frank Kassela's stack being counted down to confirm he was indeed out. He and Adil Ansari got it all in on a {K-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {6-Spades} board with Kassela holding {K-?} {J-?} to Ansari's {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades}. The turn {J-Hearts} saw Kassela take the lead but justice was restored when the river came {A-Hearts}.

Kassela commented that he always busts just after dinner. Ansari up to 80,000 now.

All the Queens, Only One King

There was an UTG raise before Manny Minaya raised to 1,400 from mid position and Blair Hinkle reraised to 4,400 from the SB. The UTG limper folded before Minaya called.

The flop {Q-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {7-Spades} saw Minaya call Hinkle's 8,000 bet. Hinkle then bet out 23,000 on the {5-Spades} turn before Minaya moved all in. Hinkle called with {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} but was drawing dead to Minaya {Q-Hearts} {Q-Spades}.

Hinkle out, Minaya new chip leader with 114,000.

Minieri Knocked Off His Perch

Dario Minieri raised from the cut-off and the big blind called before a {6-Hearts} {4-Spades} {3-Spades} flop came. The big blind then check raised Minieri's 1,450 bet all in for 13,125. Minieri called with {10-Clubs} {10-Hearts} and was in great shape against the CO's {A-Clubs} {6-Clubs}.

The turn came {7-Spades} but the river came {A-Spades} to give the CO player two-pair and the pot. Minieri no longer chip leader but still rocking on 95,000.

Minieri Heading the Wrong Way, Minaya the Right Way

Minieri is down to 64,000 now after losing a big pot. Not sure how the action went but Minieri held {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs} to his foe's {10-Diamonds} {10-Spades} on a {9-Spades} {8-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {8-Hearts} board.

Minaya meanwhile just rivered two-pair to knock another player out and send him to the dizzying heights of 143,000. His table mates wanted to know what he had for dinner, as they want some!
