Shannon Stays Alive

Annie Duke opened to 1,600 from the button only to have Shannon Elizabeth move all in from the small blind for 3,600, along with the big blind for substantially more.

"Thank you very much, because I would have had to call and stick in money with just eight-high" uttered Duke as she flashed her {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} before folding.

Elizabeth: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Opponent: {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

The board was spread {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{9-Spades} to see Elizabeth double through to 8,800.

"Thank you very much, very, very, very much!" Duke continued to say as the dealer began the next hand.

The Luck of the Draw

Poor Anna Hahn. She had the seat that half of the house wished they had -- the seat directly to Matt Damon's left. Unfortunately for Hahn (and the rail, which was inching closer to Damon every few minutes), the table was broken and Hahn drew the seat to Andy Bloch's left.

Warne Puts Lederer In Spin

Shane Warne opened to 2,600 only to have Howard Lederer move all in for 13,100.

Warne made the call for his last 11,100 and we were off to a showdown as the TV cameras and photographers circled the table.

Warne: {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Lederer: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{3-Clubs}{K-Clubs} to see Warne find a double as Lederer was left crippled.

Reynolds' Bluff Called

Everybody's having a great time so far, adn the players are a little chattier than they might otherwise be. Bill Reynolds just tried to run a bluff on the river of a king-high board. "I'm going to bet small, squeeze some value in there," said Reynolds. He made a bet of 900. His opponent called.

"Alright, you're good," Reynolds said. "King-high." His opponent opened {a-}{5-}. "Ace-high?" asked Reynolds in surprise. "Niiiiiiice!"

Listen To The Ring!

David Alan Grier
David Alan Grier

"Is it too late? Can I bet some more?" asked David Alan Grier with the {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{J-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} board spread.

As Grier stood up, he began spinning a ring on his finger, that had several poker commands on it such as 'fold'.

His opponent Bill Reynolds however fired out 10,000, and as Grier kept spinning his ring, only one command kept coming up . . . fold.

Grier however didn't believe his ring, and made the call with his {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}.

Reynolds however held {j-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}, and collected the pot to move to 47,000 as Grier slipped to 1,500.

"I kept spinning fold and I didn't even listen to my ring!" stated an angry Grier.

Damon Crushing Souls

Matt Damon is on a tear. After his earlier double-up, he recently eliminated Andy Bloch and then Anna Hahn. "I can say he knocked me out," said Bloch after his all in with {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} was called by Damon's {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. When the board developed {5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}, Damon asked the dealer to "Keep 'em low," The river was the {j-Diamonds}, no help to anybody. As Bloch stood and shook Damon's hand, Damon remarked, "I like your t-shirt."

The next hand Hahn was all in with {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and called by Damon's {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Upon seeing another strong hand for Damon, Russell Rosenbloom said, "You know what, go back to where you came from!"

"I don't want to kill the fun," said Damon. His nines held and sent Hahn out of the tournament.

Ace Delivered for Grier

"He's dressed like a gentleman [pointing to Carter Phillips] and you're dressed all colorful!" stated David Alan Grier while talking to Bill Reynolds.

Grier was all in for his big blind as Reynolds gave him action from the button.

Grier: {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Reynolds: {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

"Gimme that ace!" screamed Grier.

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} to see Grier double through and remain in the tournament.
