Parmann Relentless

Albert Minnullin raised from the button, and Art Parmann reraised from the small blind. His opponent called, and they went heads up to a flop of {2-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}. Parmann fired out a bet, and Minnullin promptly raised to two bets. Parmann called, and the board paired with the {K-Hearts} on the turn. Parmann fired out again, and this time Minnullin tank-folded to surrender the pot.

Boyd Dead Mans Barbieri

It was a blind affair that started with Dutch Boyd making it two bets from the small blind, and Al Barbieri making it three from the big blind. The two saw a {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop, and Boyd check-called a bet from Barbieri.

The turn was the {a-Spades}, and again Boyd check-called a bet from Barbieri leading to the {k-Diamonds} river. Both players checked, and Barbieri flipped over {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} which was no good against the {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} of Mr. Boyd.

Boyd has 375,000 and Barbieri drops to about 425,000

From Worst to First

Brian Meinders
Brian Meinders

Domenico Denotaristefani raised from under the gun, and both Brian Meinders and Art Parmann called to see the flop.

It came {4-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {K-Clubs}, and the first two players checked to Meinders. He laid out a bet, Parmann folded, and Denotaristefani check-raised. Meinders called the extra bet.

That led them heads up to the turn {Q-Clubs}. Denotaristefani fired a big bet, Meinders raised, and Denotaristefani tank-called.

The river came the {A-Diamonds}, and Denotaristefani check-called one final bet before Meinders showed him the winner. His {9-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} came sliding across the felt, and that set earns him the pot and the chip lead.

He came into the final table as the short stack, but Meinders is now out in front with his stack of about 645,000.

Denotaristefani Dents Parmann on River

Art Parmann raised from the cut-off, and then called the three-bet from Domenico Denotaristefani, who was directly on his left with the button.

The flop was {j-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Parmann check-called a bet from Denotaristefani, who then checked behind after Parmann checked the {j-Diamonds} turn card.

The {4-Spades} fell on the river and Parmann led out, only to see a raise from Denotaristefani. Parmann made the call, and then saw his opponent had rivered a set of fours with {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}.

Parmann mucked.

Boyd Bullies Denotaristefani

Domenico Denotaristefani raised, and Dutch Boyd three-bet from the button. His opponent called, and it was heads up the rest of the way.

The flop came {K-Spades} {3-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}, and Denotaristefani check-called a bet.

On the turn {2-Spades}, Denotaristefani check-raised Boyd to two bets, and Dutch came right back over the top with a reraise. The long-named man called.

That brought them to the {Q-Spades} river, and Denotaristefani fired right back out into the pot. Boyd raised, and Denotaristefani tank-folded to that one final bet.

"Disciplined fold," Boyd said with a smirk. We're still working on counting those two players as they tidy up their chips, but suffice it to say that big pot has shaken up the stacks significantly.

Meinders and Boyd Square Off

Brian Meinders raised preflop, and Dutch Boyd made it three bets with Meinders coming along for the ride.

The flop was {7-Spades}{j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}, and Meinders check-raised a Boyd bet, and Dutch flat-called.

The turn was the {4-Hearts}, and Meinders led out, and this time it was Boyd who stuck in the raise. Meinders called, and the players both checked through the {q-Spades} river.

Meinders flipped over {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for trip jacks, and Boyd mucked.

Meinders is now up to about 650,000.

Boyd Regains Momentum

Dutch Boyd
Dutch Boyd

Dutch Boyd raised from the button, and Albert Minnullin made the call out of the big blind.

The flop rolled out {5-Spades} {J-Spades} {4-Diamonds}, and Minnullin check-raised Boyd's continuation bet. Boyd came right back with a reraise, though, and Minnullin flat-called the extra little bet.

That brought the {K-Clubs} on the turn, and Minnullin check-called another bet before the {K-Diamonds} river. Boyd fired one final bullet, and his opponent tanked and surrendered his cards to the dealer with no showdown needed.

Boyd - 580,000
Minnullin - 430,000

Minnullin Finds Rockets

We picked up the action as the dealer was spreading out a flop of {10-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {3-Spades}. In a battle of the blinds, Albert Minnullin led out with a bet, and Art Parmann raised. The two men went back and forth until it was capped at five bets, and that brought them to the {10-Clubs} turn.

Minnullin's bet was flat-called there, and Parmann flat-called one last bet on the {K-Spades} river. Minnullin had the goods; he showed {A-Hearts} {A-Spades}, and his overpair was good enough to earn him the pot.

He's up to 640,000 now as each big pot swings the momentum in a big way.
