The button is in Seat 6 and the cards are in the air for Day 2!
Anh Le opened with a raise from the cutoff to 1,600 and Steve Conigliaro defended his big blind as a flop was spread.
Conigliaro checked and Le fired out 800 only to be check-raised to 1,600. She made the call before also calling a 1,600-chip bet when the turn delivered a .
Conigliaro checked the on the river and Le fired out an uncalled bet of 1,600 to take her to 16,400 in chips.
Carl Beard opened with a raise to 1,600 only to have Robert Zoellner three-bet from the small blind.
Joe Sebok committed his last 3,100 and Beard then found himself all in for 4,000. Zoellner made the call and the cards were tabled.
Sebok:
Beard:
Zoellner:
The flop of kept Zoellner in the lead but gave both players some outs.
It was the turn that created the most drama as it fell the to give Sebok a flush draw to stay alive, Zoellner a set of jacks, but Beard a straight.
Fortunately for Sebok he magically found the on the river to see him double through to 9,300 as Beard slipped to just 1,800 in chips.
Patti Gallagher raised first-in from the button, and big blind Todd Witteles eyed up her short stack as he made the call.
The flop came , and Witteles check-raised Gallagher to put her all in for 1,700 total. She showed , and Witteles had a hammer lock on the hand with . The turn was a blank, and the on fifth street wasn't enough to save Gallagher from elimination.
She's out, and Witteles bumps his stack up to about 20,000.
In a battle of blinds we found David Baker checking a board with around 4,800 in the pot.
Alex Melnikow fired out 1,600 and Baker check-raised to 3,200. Melnikow hesitantly made the call as the peeled on the river and Baker continued with a 1,600-chip bet.
Melnikow released his hand and Baker took down the pot to climb over the 55,000-chip mark.
Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier opened with a cutoff raise, and big blind Michael Binger called to see a flop.
It came , and Binger knocked the table. When ElkY bet, Binger raised, and they both got two small bets in there heading to the turn. Binger bet there, and again on the river, and ElkY called big bets on both streets.
Binger turned up at showdown, and his second pair was the best. ElkY mucked, dropping his stack down to 7,800 while Binger moves up close to 30,000.
