Phillips Running Over the Competition

"Oh this sucks," said Team PokerStars Pro USA Denis Phillips. The flop was {7-Spades}{4-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and his opponent had just check-raised all in.

"This really sucks," repeated Phillips as he grabbed his remaining chips in one hand. Although he had his opponent covered, calling the additional 1,200 would leave him crippled.

"Alright, lets do it," he said and threw his chips into the pot. His opponent turned over {a-Spades}{10-Spades} for the nut flush draw and Phillips showed {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} for top pair.

The turn brought a {5-Clubs}, followed by a {q-Clubs} on the river. Phillips avoided being flushed away, knocked out an opponent and is up to 5,500. Keep on truckin' Dennis.

Pilgrim Tries to Bully

Dwyte Pilgrim raised in middle position to 225 and was called by the player in the big blind. The flop came {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades} and the big blind lead out for 250.

Pilgrim raised enough to put the big blind all in and was called. Pilgrim held {A-Spades}{7-Hearts} and his opponent held {Q-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. The turn changed nothing when it came {9-Hearts}.

The river was the {J-Clubs}, giving both players a straight. Unfortunately for Pilgrim, his opponent's straight was higher. Pilgrim dropped to around 4,000 after the hand.

GG Micon

There was an early position raise to 275 and one caller. Action was folded to Bryan Micon who moved all in for 1,000. The original raiser called, and the original caller folded.

With the preflop shenanigans concluded, the players flipped over their hands. Micon showed {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and was up against {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}.

The board came {j-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, completely devoid of any aces, kings, or double ups for Micon.

After being eliminated Micon, gave his last words to the table. "GG guys," he said and headed off to the rail.

Three Way Calling

Jeff Madsen raised to 250 from early position and had a caller in middle position. Action then folded to the big blind who did more than call, he moved all in for 675. Madsen and his caller decided to call this bet too.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and was checked. The turn was an {8-Hearts}, it too was checked. River? {q-Spades} Action? Checked.

Madsen showed {q-}{9-} for a pair of queens, the caller showed {5-}{5-}, and the all in player's hand went into the muck before we could see it. What we do know is that Jeff Madsen knocked him out and now has 10,000 in chips.

Binger Moves All In

Nick Binger moved all in for his last 1,425 with {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}. He was called by the player in Seat 7 and was ahead of his {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.

Binger seemed to know what was in store since he stood from his chair and began collecting his things. The flop came {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, giving Seat 7 the lead.

The {K-Spades} on the turn changed nothin and Binger was looking for one of the remaining nines in the deck. The river was the {K-Hearts} and Binger jokingly asked, "Did I win?"

Binger was eliminated on the hand.
