Mess with Dabul and You Get the Horns

Veronica Dabul raised to 400 and was called by the small blind. The player in the big blind then raised to 1,500 and both Dabul and the small blind made the call.

The three players saw a flop of {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and the small blind led out for 1,800. The big blind folded and Dabul raised all in. The small blind folded and Dabul increased her stack to 21,500.

Thunder From Down Under

No, not Australia, South America.

After his recent victory at the LAPT: Lima, PokerStars Team Pro Argentina Jose Ignacio Barbero is vying for WSOP bracelet.

While he's a formidable opponent, he's not the only PokerStars Pro from Argentina to pose a threat. Near the chip lead is his countryman, or should I say woman, Team PokerStars Pro Argentina Veronica Dabul with 20,000.

Also present is team PokerStars Pro France, Arnaud Mattern. He also has a sizable stack of 15,100.

Pham Losses a Little

On a flop of {3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}, David "The Dragon" Pham called Seat 1's all in for 6,025. Pham showed {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} but was behind the {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} of Seat 1.

The turn was no help to Pham when it came {5-Clubs}. He was looking for one of the two remaining tens on the river, but missed when it came {6-Clubs}.

Pham doubled his opponent and dropped to around 13,000.

Say Goodbye to Pappas

Greg Pappas
Greg Pappas

"If I shove right now, 90 percent of the time someone will call," said Greg Pappas before the cards were dealt. He was sitting in the cutoff with only 1,125 left.

The cards were dealt and action was folded to Pappas. He moved all in. The big blind looked at his cards and called. Greg Pappas: 1 Scientific Method:0.

"90 percent of the time I'm ahead of him," said Pappas as he flipped over {a-Clubs}{3-Spades}. His opponent showed {k-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Pappas: 2 Scientific Method: 0.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{10-Spades} and Pappas stayed in the lead. The turn was a safe {4-Hearts}, and then Pappas spoke. "Come on, flushcard, pair the board. Anything but a king!"

River.
