Labandeira Cleaned Out

Manuel Labandeira: {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} / with the {a-Diamonds} on seventh street
Elgie Morris: {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{5-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Manuel Labandeira, all in on fourth street or thereabouts, was already standing up to leave, but thought he had better check his last down card, just in case - and it was a good thing he did, as it made him a low and he chopped the pot.

The reprieve was short-lived, though - just a few minutes later we strolled by his table and he was gone.

Second Straight Flush For Ivey In As Many Days

Five players saw sixth street, so lets just see what their boards looked like.

John Womack: {X}{X}/{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Dale Phillips: {X}{X}/{5-Spades}{J-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Phil Ivey: {X}{X}/{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Odette Tremblay: {6-Hearts}{8-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Michael Baxter: {X}{X}{3-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

John Womack tossed in the bring-in on third street and the rest of the players called. All checked fourth and fifth street. Dale Phillips took the lead in the hand on sixth street and bet his pair of queens. Phil Ivey raised and action folded around to Phillips. He made the call and check-called Ivey's seventh street bet.

Ivey tabled {4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a straight flush and is up to about 75,000. Phillips dropped to about 81,000.

MacPhee Moves On Up

Kevin MacPhee: (XX) / {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Debbie Hickok: (XX) / {q-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

Debbie Hickok bet out on fourth street when we joined the action and Kevin MacPhee called. They both checked on fifth.

On sixth street, now showing two pair, Kevin MacPhee bet out. Debbie Hickok shook her head in disgust and MacPhee moved up to 78,500. Hickok dipped to 49,000.

Bubble Bursts Before We're Even On It

There wasn't even time to go hand for hand. The TD's announcement went:

"Dealers in the stud-eight, hold up...

"...We're in the money."

We're not terribly sure exactly who the unfortunate official bubbler was yet, but it could have been Jan Sjavik or Michael Botwin. We'll know for sure once the remaining players start hitting the payout desk.

Parker Driven Out

Popular UK pro Paul Parker has been eliminated from event. However, he crept into the money taking home $2,851 for his troubles. No doubt he'll spend the money on another floral shirt and a pair of multi-coloured socks.
