Ivey Doubles

Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Pot-Limit Hold'em

We picked up the action on the flop with the board reading {A-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Phil Ivey was first up and fired a bet of 31,000. Matt Sterling was his opponent and he made the call.

Fourth street brought the {Q-Diamonds} and Ivey didn't slow down. He fired out 60,000. Sterling thought for a minute and then made the call.

The river completed the board with the {4-Diamonds} and Ivey announced that he was all in for 78,000. Sterling tanked and then made the call.

Ivey revealed to {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} for top two pair and Sterling mucked. He dropped all the way to 75,000 while Ivey doubled to about 370,000 in chips.
