Early Casualty

We have only lost one player thus far here in the early going. The remaining nine players over Table 370 are discussing how it happened -- the player with {A-}{A-} having gotten his aces cracked by {A-}{K-}.

Meanwhile, the Tournament Director is reminding everyone that when eliminated they must check in with him in order to get their scheduled payouts. It looks like it was Maxim Semisoshenko who was eliminated, but the TD is still working to track that down for certain.

Adamo Busto

Here's another early bustout to report, this one from Table 375.

Before the flop, Michael Adamo opened with a raise from under the gun, and Adolfo Castillo reraised to 13,100 from middle position. It folded back to Adamo who reraised all in, and Castillo called.

Adamo showed {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} and Castillo {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}. The board went {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, and Castillo ended up with a diamond flush.

Adamo is out, and Castillo is up to 135,000 and leading the now nine-handed table.

Small Jump for Joseph

Richard Hawes opened with a raise to 1,100 from early position and got three callers -- Jason Koon (MP), Johanssy Joseph (button), and Michael Cooper (BB). All four then checked the {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop and {9-Spades} turn.

The river then brought the {K-Clubs}. It checked around to Joseph who bet 2,250, and only Hawes called. Joseph showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}, and Hawes mucked.

Joseph is up to 62,000 there at Table 368.

Shack Sacked

Sam El started the action by opening to 1,050 from early position. Terrence Chan three-bet to 3,000 and a short-stacked Andrew Shack moved all in for 9,500 near the button. Action folded back to El who re-shoved prompting Chan to fold his hand.

Showdown
El: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Shack: {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

"At least I have live cards," Shack said with a smile.

He couldn't connect with the {2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades} board however, and was off to the cashier to pick up his earnings.

Kornuth Doubles

Adam Kornuth received a well-timed double up at Table 366.

With almost 10,000 in the pot and the board reading {6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, Kornuth open-shoved for 5,400 and was called by John Strzemp.

We missed Strzemp's cards, but Kornuth's {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} held after the board ran {q-Diamonds}{3-Spades} because he was shipped the pot doubling to 20,000 chips.
