James Mackey raised to 1,100 and then called his opponent's all-in shove worth 4,500. The all-in player was Dan O'Brien. Mackey held the and O'Brien the .
The flop ran out and O'Brien picked up a pair of tens to take the lead. The turn card brought the though and just like that, Mackey snatched back the lead. The river completed the board with the and wasn't the help O'Brien needed.
O'Brien was sent to the rail as Mackey improved to 33,000 chips.
Just before James Mackey busted Dan O'Brien he got the best of Valdemar Kwaysser. We missed the hand but know that Mackey was holding and had fallen behind Kwaysser's when Kwaysser made a pair on the turn. However, Mackey was able to find a flush on the river, putting his total kill count up to two for the day.
Hasan Habib was down to just 125 chips when he got it all in preflop against Meikle Partin.
Partin:
Habib:
All Habib needed to do was stay ahead, and he managed to do it by finding a flush on the turn with the board coming down . Habib now has 1,100 chips and could probably use another centuple up
Brant Hale raised to 1,050 before Vitaly Lunkin reraised to 2,900. Hale tanked for a bit and then made the call.
The first three community cards came down and Lunkin, who was acting from the big blind, bet out 2,000. Hale tanked for some Hollywood effect and then moved all in. Lunkin quickly snapped him off.
Lunkin had flopped top set with the and Hale held the . The turn was the and the river the , giving Lunkin quads, although all he needed was to dodge an ace. He eliminated Hale from the tournament.
"Why did this hand take so long to play? It's aces versus queens and you have like 10 big blinds," commented Greg Mueller on all the Hollywooding that was done.
Once the no-limit hold'em round hit the tables, it's been a fury of bustouts coming left and right. Here's another one and it's Hasan Habib who hit the rail.
Habib was all in with the and up against the for Alexey Makarov. The board ran through and Makarov made trip jacks to send Habib packing. Makaraov increased to 34,000 in chips.
Jerry Vanstrydonck and Mark Johns got all in the money in preflop. Johns was the player at risk and all in for 12,800. He held the and Vanstrydonck the .
The board ran out and Vanstrydonck earned the elimination to move to 38,000 in chips.
We got to the table as the players were on their third draw. Adrienne Rowsome drew one, James Mackey stood pat and then Marc Hodge drew one. Hodge was all in at some point before the third draw. After the draw, Rowsome and Mackey both checked.
Rowsome tabled the and Mackey mucked. Hodge held the , losing by one card to Rowsome. He was eliminated while Rowsome moved up to 25,000 in chips.
We missed the preflop action but we do know that all the money went all in on the flop of when Hang and Billirakis both picked up straight-draws.
While the flushes wouldn't be made, Billirakis hit a straight on the turn when it came . Hang made a set on the river, but it wouldn't do him any good.
